Trial Work Experience definition

Trial Work Experience or "TWE" means the exploration of an individual's abilities, capabilities, and capacity to perform in realistic work situations in order to determine whether or not there is clear and convincing evidence to support a determination that an individual with a disability is incapable of benefiting from vocational rehabilitation services in terms of an employment outcome.
Trial Work Experience. (TWE) means an assessment of the individual’s abilities, capabilities, and capacity to perform in work situations.
Trial Work Experience is the opportunity to work in a real job in an integrated employment setting alongside non-disabled coworkers, customers, and peers, with the appropriate services and supports for a sufficient period of time to establish whether an individual’s interests, skills, and abilities are well-suited for the particular job, but for no shorter than 60 days. The trial work experience shall be selected through a person- centered planning process and shall be individually tailored to each person.

  • Trial work experience may include supported employment, on-the-job training and other experiences using realistic work settings.3.
