Weekend Shift definition

Weekend Shift means all ordinary shifts worked between midnight Friday and midnight Sunday.
Weekend Shift. A work period that is scheduled on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Weekend Shift. The term is used in this Agreement to mean a roster of ordinary hours of work which includes at least one day of the weekend ie: either a Saturday or a Sunday.   • The Company reserves the right to remove a Weekend Schedule employee from such schedule if, in the Company’s discretion, that employee’s incidence of sudden illness is appreciably above the norm for Weekend Shift employees.

  • Upon notification to or from the Weekend Shift, the transition will take place on the 2nd Monday following notification.

  • When calculating the probationary period for an employee working the Weekend Shift, the twenty-four hour period worked on the Weekend Shift will be equivalent to four and one-half (4 ½ ) days towards completion of their probation period.

  • The following premiums are to be paid per hour but are not subject to pension, overtime, vacation or statutory pay: Graveyard Shift $1.65/per hour Afternoon Shift $0.65/per hour Weekend Shift $1.65/hour (any work on Saturday or Sunday) Graveyard shift based on actual hours worked between the hours of 23:00 – 7:00.

  • Weekend Shift employee experience absenteeism appreciably above the norm for Weekend Shift employees, the Company reserves the right to transfer such employee off the Weekend Shift Schedule.

  • By mutual consent, between the Employer and Local Union, a Compressed Shift – Weekend Shift may be established: Three consecutive twelve (12) hour days at straight time rates, Friday through Sunday The employee will receive forty (40) hours pay for 36 hours worked When this option is worked, all hours in excess of twelve (12) hours per day, Friday through Sunday, will be paid at the applicable overtime rate.

  • Weekend Shift: A nurse shall receive weekend shift differential pay for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday, except in the case of a night shift, it means Friday and Saturday.


More Definitions of Weekend Shift

Weekend Shift means a shift that begins at 7:00 pm on Friday and continues through 7:00 am on Monday.
Weekend Shift means a day shift worked Saturday and Sunday commencing at or after 4.00am and before 12.00 noon as part of a “Three shift roster”. “Three shift roster” is a roster of a day shift and an afternoon shift rotating week about together with a non-rotating weekend shift.
Weekend Shift means any shift where the majority of hours occur between 0001 hours Saturday and 2400 hours Sunday.

  • Weekend means a Saturday and the following Sunday, assuring a minimum of fifty-six (56) hours off duty;

  • Peak Hours or “Peak Period” means the period with the highest ridership during the entire transit service day as determined by the transit operator. Must include at least one hour during the morning commute hours and one during evening commute hours, Monday through Friday. Each Peak Period cannot be longer than three hours.

  • Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight.

  • Peak-Hour Dispatch means, for purposes of calculating the Energy and Ancillary Services Revenue Offset under Tariff, Attachment DD, section 5, an assumption, as more fully set forth in the PJM Manuals, that the Reference Resource is committed in the Day-Ahead Energy Market in four distinct blocks of four hours of continuous output for each block from the peak-hour period beginning with the hour ending 0800 EPT through to the hour ending 2300 EPT for any day when the average day-ahead LMP for the area for which the Net Cost of New Entry is being determined is greater than, or equal to, the cost to generate (including the cost for a complete start and shutdown cycle) for at least two hours during each four-hour block, where such blocks shall be assumed to be committed independently; provided that, if there are not at least two economic hours in any given four-hour block, then the Reference Resource shall be assumed not to be committed for such block; and to the extent not committed in any such block in the Day- Ahead Energy Market under the above conditions based on Day-Ahead LMPs, is dispatched in the Real-Time Energy Market for such block if the Real-Time LMP is greater than or equal to the cost to generate under the same conditions as described above for the Day-Ahead Energy Market.

  • Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.
