Years of Eligibility Service definition

Years of Eligibility Service means Years of Benefit Service as defined in 2.2-7 plus Years of Service (as defined in the Retirement Plan), if any, approved by the Committee performed for a business before the date it became an Affiliate.
Years of Eligibility Service means Years of Benefit Service as defined in 2.2-7 plus Years of Service (as defined in the PCC Retirement Plan), if any, approved by the Committee performed for a business before the date it became an Affiliate or performed for the Company or an Affiliate after the person has been removed from participation as provided in 1.2-1 and related provisions.
Years of Eligibility Service means an Employee's period of continuous and uninterrupted employment from his or her last date of hire in a Plan-eligible employment classification to the date of determination of eligibility. This term is used to determine eligibility to participate in this Plan. For this purpose, employment shall be considered continuous and uninterrupted during a Leave of Absence.

Examples of Years of Eligibility Service in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of the Plan, there shall be no duplication of Years of Eligibility Service under the Plan by reason of service (or hours of service) in respect of any single period or otherwise.

  • If an Employee incurs a Break in Eligibility Service before satisfying the Plan's eligibility requirements, such Employee's Years of Eligibility Service before such Break in Eligibility Service will not be taken into account.

  • Each Employee of the Employer, except those Employees who belong to a class of Employees which is excluded from participation as indicated in the Adoption Agreement, shall be eligible to participate in this Plan upon the satisfaction of the age and Years of Eligibility Service requirements specified in the Adoption Agreement.

  • The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole Arbitrator mutually appointed, or in case of disagreement as to the appointment of a sole Arbitrator, by three (3) Arbitrators of which each Party shall appoint one (1) Arbitrator and the third Arbitrator shall be appointed by the two appointed Arbitrators.

  • Except as provided in Section 3.3, all Years of Eligibility Service completed by an Employee shall be counted in determining his eligibility to become a Participant on and after the Effective Date, whether such Service was completed before or after the Effective Date.

  • If either item is left blank, the Years of Eligibility Service required for such item will be deemed to be 0.

  • Such aggregate number of Years of Eligibility Service will not include any Years of Eligibility Service disregarded under the preceding sentence by reason of prior breaks.

  • Each unit will be issued so that the holder of the unit also is the holder of each security included in the unit.

  • If an eligible Employee is not employed in Covered Employment on the applicable Entry Date and the Employee's Years of Eligibility Service are not canceled under Section 3.3(b), the Employee shall become a Participant on the first subsequent day on which the Employee has an Hour of Service in Covered Employment.

  • If an Employee's Years of Eligibility Service are canceled under (b) above, the Employee must satisfy the eligibility requirements of Section 3.1 again to participate or to resume participation in this plan.

Years of Eligibility Service means Years of Benefit Service as defined in 2.2-4 plus any Years of Service (as defined in the Retirement Plan) performed for a business before the date it became a Subsidiary.

Related to Years of Eligibility Service

  • Year of Eligibility Service means, for any Employee, a credit used to determine his eligibility to participate under the Plan, as further described in Section 2.2.

  • Eligibility Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his eligibility to participate in the Plan as may be required under Article III or Article VI.

  • Years of Service means the total number of full years in which a Participant has been employed by one or more Employers. For purposes of this definition, a year of employment shall be a 365 day period (or 366 day period in the case of a leap year) that, for the first year of employment, commences on the Employee's date of hiring and that, for any subsequent year, commences on an anniversary of that hiring date. Any partial year of employment shall not be counted.

  • Credited Service means the member's total period of service

An Employee who incurs a Period of Severance of twelve (12) months or less will also receive service-spanning credit by treating any such period as a Period of Service for purposes of eligibility and vesting (but not benefit accrual). For purposes of benefit accrual, a Participant's whole year Periods of Service is equal to the sum of all full and partial periods of service, whether or not such service is continuous or contiguous, expressed in the number of whole years represented by such sum. For this purpose, fractional periods of a year will be expressed in terms of days.

  • Vesting Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his vested interest in his Employer Contributions Sub-Account, if Employer Contributions are provided for under either Article VI or Article XXII.

  • Plan Year(s means the approximate twelve-month periods between annual meetings of the shareholders of the Company, which, for purposes of the Plan, are the periods for which annual retainers are earned.

  • Eligible Earnings means the Grantee's base salary (prior to any deferrals under a cash or deferred compensation plan sponsored by the Corporation or an Affiliate) paid during the Plan Year. From time to time the Plan Administrator may, in its sole discretion, establish rules for determining the amounts of Eligible Earnings for employees who become Grantees other than on the first day of a Plan Year as well as any reduction of Eligible Earnings as a result of paid leave of absences.

  • Eligibility Waiting Period means the continuous length of time you must be in Active Employment in an eligible class to reach your Eligibility Date.

  • Annual Earnings means your gross annual income from your Employer, not including shift differential, in effect just prior to the date of loss. It includes your total income before taxes. It is prior to any deductions made for pre-tax contributions to a qualified deferred compensation plan, Section 125 plan or flexible spending account. It does not include income received from commissions, bonuses, overtime pay or any other extra compensation or income received from sources other than your Employer.

  • Minimum Period of Service means a period of 12 consecutive months beginning on the Service Start Date, unless set out otherwise in any applicable Order.

  • Year of Vesting Service means a vesting computation period during which you complete 1,000 hours of service during the Plan Year.

  • One-Year Break in Service means a twelve (12) consecutive month period during which the Participant does not complete more than 500 Hours of Service.

  • Hours of Service means hours to be credited to an Employee under the following rules:

  • Break in Service means any Plan Year, or, for the initial eligibility computation period under Section 3.2, the 12-consecutive month period beginning on the first day of which an Employee has an Hour of Service, in which an Employee has 500 or fewer Hours of Service. Solely for this purpose, an Employee shall be considered employed for his normal hours of paid employment during a Recognized Absence (said Employee shall not be credited with more than 501 Hours of Service to avoid a Break in Service), unless he does not resume his Service at the end of the Recognized Absence. Further, if an Employee is absent for any period (i) by reason of the Employee’s pregnancy, (ii) by reason of the birth of the Employee’s child, (iii) by reason of the placement of a child with the Employee in connection with the Employee’s adoption of the child, or (iv) for purposes of caring for such child for a period beginning immediately after such birth or placement, the Employee shall be credited with the Hours of Service which would normally have been credited but for such absence, up to a maximum of 501 Hours of Service.

  • Eligibility Computation Period means a 12-consecutive month period beginning with your first day of employment. Any succeeding Eligibility Computation Period will then switch to the Plan Year, beginning with the Plan Year that includes your first anniversary of employment. You will generally earn an hour of service for each hour you are paid for the performance of duties for the Company (however, numerous exceptions and special rules apply).

  • Retirement Eligible means that the Participant has either attained age 55 and completed ten (10) years of Service as an Employee or attained age 60 and completed five (5) years of Service as an Employee.

  • 1-Year Break in Service means the applicable computation period during which an Employee has not completed more than 500 Hours of Service with the Employer. Further, solely for the purpose of determining whether a Participant has incurred a 1-Year Break in Service, Hours of Service shall be recognized for "authorized leaves of absence" and "maternity and paternity leaves of absence." Years of Service and 1-Year Breaks in Service shall be measured on the same computation period.

  • Retirement Age means the earlier to occur of the Participant attaining: (i) age 65 or more; or (ii) age 60 or more with at least 15 years of continuous Service, provided that the Participant has continuously remained in Service from the Award Date until the earlier to occur of (i) or (ii).

  • Plan Year means the calendar year.

  • Period of Severance means a continuous period of time during which an Employee is not employed by the Employer. Such period begins on the date the Employee retires, quits or is discharged, or if earlier, the twelve (12) month anniversary of the date on which the Employee was otherwise first absent from service.

  • Age means the attained age of the Insured Person.

  • In-service means an educational program, which is designed to increase the knowledge, skills, and overall effectiveness of personnel.
