Workmen Compensation. (a) The Contractor shall be liable for and shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Council and its officers or servants from all liabilities arising out of claims by any workman employed by the Contractor in and for the performance of this Contract for payment of compensation under or by virtue of the Workmen's Compensation Act 1952 and the Employee’s Social Security Ad 1969 or any other law amending or replacing such law and from all costs and expenses incidental and consequential thereto.
