Market Disruption Event means the situation in which an Underlying Rate is not available on the relevant Screen Page, in which case the relevant rate shall be determined by the Calculation Agent on the basis of quotations for the relevant rate, or such other related rate as the Calculation Agent shall in its sole and absolute discretion specify, provided by the Reference Banks at the Valuation Time for the relevant day. The Issuer will request the principal London office of each Reference Bank to provide a quotation of the relevant rate. The relevant rate will be the arithmetic mean of the quotations, eliminating the highest quotation (or in the event of equality, one of the highest) and the lowest quotation (or, in the event of equality, one of the lowest) if more than three quotations are provided. If it is not possible to obtain quotations of the relevant rate by at least three of the Reference Banks then the Calculation Agent will determine the relevant Underlying Rate at its sole and absolute discretion, which determination may be delayed for up to 180 days following the occurrence of an Emerging Market Disruption Event.

The Calculation Agent shall as soon as reasonably practicable under the circumstances notify the Holders in accordance with General Condition 4 if it determines that a Market Disruption Event has occurred.
The Calculation Agent shall give notice as soon as practicable to the Holders in accordance with Condition 10 that a Market Disruption Event has occurred.

More Definitions of Market Disruption Event

Market Disruption Event means each of the following events:

Market Disruption Event means, in respect of a Share, the occurrence or existence on any Scheduled Trading Day of a Trading Disruption or an Exchange Disruption which in either case the Issuer determines is material, at any time during the one hour period that ends at the relevant Valuation Time or an Early Closure.

Market Disruption Event means the occurrence or existence of (i) a Trading Disruption, (ii) an Exchange Disruption, which in either case the Calculation Agent determines is material, at any time during the one hour period that ends at the relevant Valuation Time, or (iii) an Early Closure. For the purposes of determining whether a Market Disruption Event in respect of an Index exists at any time, if a Market Disruption Event occurs in respect of a security included in the Index at any time, then the relevant percentage contribution of that security to the Index Level shall be based on a comparison of (x) the portion of the Index Level attributable to that security and (y) the overall Index Level, in each case immediately before the occurrence of such Market Disruption Event.

Market Disruption Event means, in respect of a Commodity Index or any Component of a Commodity Index, the occurrence of any of a Price Source Disruption, Trading Disruption, Disappearance of Component Price, Early Closure, Material Change in Formula, Material Change in Content or Tax Disruption if so specified as applicable in the relevant Final Terms or such other event as may be specified in the relevant Final Terms.

Market Disruption Event means, in relation to Certificates relating to a single Index or basket of Indices, in respect of an Index:

Market Disruption Event with respect to a Share means the occurrence or existence of any suspension of, or limitation imposed on, trading in (a) the Share on the Exchange, or (b) any options contracts or futures contracts relating to the Share on the Futures Exchange (if such option or futures contracts are traded on the Futures Exchange), provided that any such suspension or limitation is material. The decision whether a suspension or limitation is material will be made by the Issuer in its reasonable discretion (billiges Ermessen) (§ 315 German Civil Code (BGB)). The occurrence of a Market Disruption Event on a Strike Date or a Valuation Date shall be published in accordance with § 11. A limitation regarding the office hours or the number of days of trading will not constitute a Market Disruption Event if it results from an announced change in the regular business hours of the Exchange or the Futures Exchange, as the case may be. A limitation on trading imposed during the course of a day by reason of movements in price exceeding permitted limits shall only be deemed to be a Market Disruption Event in the case that such limitation is still prevailing at the time of termination of the trading hours on such date.
