  • ABSENCE FROM DUTY Unless a provision of this agreement states otherwise (e.g. sick leave), an employee not attending for duty will lose their pay for the actual time of such non- attendance.

  • Leave for Other Reasons Notwithstanding any provisions for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee for any other purpose.

  • Leave With or Without Pay for Other Reasons At its discretion, the Employer may grant: (a) leave with pay when circumstances not directly attributable to the employee prevent his reporting for duty. Such leave shall not be unreasonable withheld; (b) leave with or without pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement.

  • Absences The Executive shall be entitled to vacations in accordance with the Company’s vacation policy in effect from time to time (but in no event shall the Executive be entitled to fewer vacation days than under the Company’s vacation policy as in effect on the Effective Date) and to absences because of illness or other incapacity, and shall also be entitled to such other absences, whether for holiday, personal time, conventions, or for any other purpose, as are granted to the Company’s other executive officers or as are approved by the Board of Directors or the Committee, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Illness injury, or pregnancy-related condition of a member of the employee’s immediate family where the employee’s presence is reasonably necessary for the health and welfare of the employee or affected family member;

  • ABSENCE FROM WORK In case an employee is unavoidably kept from work he will not be discriminated against. An employee detained from work on account of sickness or for any other good cause must, if possible, advise the Xxxxxxx prior to the commencement of his/her shift.

  • MISSTATEMENT OF AGE If the age of a Member has been misstated, all Premiums payable under this Agreement shall be calculated based on the Premium due based on the Member’s correct age. If the correction of the Member’s age results in an increase in the Premium due, the Subscriber shall pay CareFirst BlueChoice or the Exchange the increased Premium due by the next Premium Due Date after notification by CareFirst BlueChoice or the Exchange. If, due to the correction in the Member’s age, a Subscriber has paid a Premium, or portion of a Premium, not due, CareFirst BlueChoice’s liability is limited to a refund, on request, of any excess Premium paid for the period during which the Member’s age was misstated.

  • Absence Absence from work up to seven (7) weeks within a period of fifty-two (52) consecutive weeks, due to sickness, injury or temporary layoff, shall be considered as time worked for the purpose of determining eligibility for full vacation pay. In the event that an employee is absent from work in excess of seven (7) weeks, as set forth above, whatever vacation pay the employee is entitled to shall be prorated according to straight-time hours actually worked.

  • Absence Without Leave Any absence of an employee from scheduled duty that has not been previously authorized by the EMPLOYER may be deemed an absence without leave. Any employee absent without leave will be subject to disciplinary action, and any employee absent without leave for three (3) consecutive days may be deemed to have resigned his/her employment, provided that the EMPLOYER may grant approval for leave subsequent to the unauthorized absence if the employee can conclusively establish to the EMPLOYER that the circumstances surrounding the absence and failure to request leave were beyond the employee's control.

  • OTHER LEAVE WITH OR WITHOUT PAY 17.01 In respect to applications for leave made pursuant to this Article, the employee may be required to provide satisfactory validation of the circumstances necessitating such requests.
