Absence on Public Holidays. (a) If the period during which an Employee takes paid personal/carer’s leave includes a day or part-day that is a Public Holiday in the place where the Employee is based for work purposes, the Employee is taken not to be on paid personal/carer’s leave on that Public Holiday. (b) Despite clause 47.11(a), a Shift Worker credited with substitute leave in accordance with clause 35.4 who is rostered to perform ordinary duty on a Public Holiday and who takes paid personal/carer’s leave on that day or part of that day, will be taken to be on paid personal/xxxxx’s leave.
