ABSENTEE BALLOTS. Absentee ballots shall be available at the office of the School District or the City. The School District and the Cities shall set up protective measures so that no voter can vote absentee more than once.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS. 8.1 Votes may be cast either in person or by absentee ballots.
8.2 A request for an absentee ballot shall be submitted to the Secretary not less than twelve (12) days prior to the date of a scheduled meeting, setting forth in such request the reason for the inability to attend in person. The Secretary shall thereupon send to the Owner an absentee ballot. The completed absentee ballot shall be resumed to the Secretary in two (2) sealed envelopes, one such envelope to be inside the other. The outer envelope shall legibly bear thereon the name of the Owner casting the absentee ballot. Upon receipt thereof, the Secretary shall compare the names thereon with the request for absentee ballots. Once compared and determined to be correct, the Secretary shall remove the inner envelope and shall immediately destroy the outer envelope. A record of the names of the absentee balloters shall be kept and shall be available for inspection by any Member one hour prior to any membership meeting. No absentee ballots shall be opened or inspected until the commencement of the Membership meeting to which the absentee ballots applies and the results of any ballots cast thereby shall not be disclosed until the specific issue voted upon has been voted upon by the Members attending in person.
8.3 Nothing in this section shall preclude or be deemed to preclude any issue being brought before the Owners at a duly convened meeting of the Owners which has not been submitted to the Owners so as to allow voting thereon by absentee ballot.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS. Absentee ballots will be handled subject to the procedures as outlined in the appropriate Appendix (D or E).

ABSENTEE BALLOTS. If a Unit Board member is unable to attend a Unit’s scheduled election meeting, the board member may request an absentee ballot (after an election has been called and nominations have closed).
8.1 The board member should notify the Unit President or Secretary that they will not be present at the election meeting.
8.2 A request for an absentee ballot should be directed in writing to the Director of Elections.
8.2.1 The Director of Elections will e-mail/mail an election package directly to each Unit Board member.
8.2.1.1 The Unit Board member will vote electronically or mail the ballot directly to the Director of Elections.
8.2.2 In order to be included in the count, the ballots must be received by the Director of Elections by the close of business on the third business day of October.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS. It is recognized that the election date may be inconvenient to some members due to scheduled annual leave, funeral leave, incentive leave or other legitimate reasons. Regular members who find themselves unable to cast ballots on the scheduled election date may obtain an absentee ballot from the PHPA secretary no sooner than 10 days prior to the election date. The marked ballot will be placed in a sealed envelope and then secured in the business office safe until election date.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS. The completed secret ballot shall be placed into an envelope marked Secret Ballot Envelope which shall then be placed into a stamped, pre-addressed return envelope. The voter shall sign his/her name across the return envelope where indicated and return it to the Board. The ballot shall be invalid if marked in any way other than provided by the instructions or if the returned envelope is not signed by the voter. The Board will verify that only employees eligible to use mail ballots used them to vote.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS. The number of absentee ballots will be verified against the number of ballots signed out and the envelopes will be opened and their results tallied by the election judge.
