Academic Status and Appointment of Librarians. 14.1.1 As the nature of their work and the qualifications required to carry it out are essentially academic, librarians are partners with faculty in the support and promotion of the University's educational goals. All Members are appointed by the University and in accordance with provisions of Articles 7 and 8.
