Common use of Access to Buildings Clause in Contracts

Access to Buildings. The Union Business Representative shall have access to the buildings in the District for the purpose of adjusting disputes, investigating working conditions, and ascertaining that the Agreement is being followed, provided that it does not interfere with work performance or school activities, and provided that the Business Representative checks in at the building office or with the responsible administrator. Bargaining unit members whose presence is necessary or required in a meeting or hearing in matters between the District and the Union shall be released with no loss of time to participate in said hearing or meeting, provided that, whenever possible, twenty-four (24) hours' advance notice is provided to the Director of Business.
