GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The primary purpose of this procedure is to secure, at the lowest possible level, equitable solutions to a claim of the grievant.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The purpose of the grievance procedure is to provide a formal means of resolving disagreements about the provisions of this contract. These proceedings shall be as informal as may be appropriate at any level of the procedure. The parties further agree that orderly and expeditious resolutions of grievances shall occur. A grievance shall be defined as a written claim by an employee or the Association based upon a personal loss or injury because there has been an alleged misinterpretation, misapplication, or violation of the terms of this Agreement relating to salaries, employee benefits or working conditions.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The purpose of the grievance procedure is to secure solutions at the lowest possible step to problems that affect our members. It is important that a grievance be processed as rapidly as pos- sible. The number of days indicated at each step of the procedure shall be considered as maxi- mum and every effort should be made to expedite the process. The time limits specified may, however be extended by mutual agreement. Failure of CASA to file/forward a grievance within the specified time limits shall terminate the grievance at that point in favor of the District. Failure of the District to respond to a grievance within the specified time limits shall terminate the griev- ance in favor of CASA. In all cases, the individual(s) or CASA filing the grievance shall be required to advise the Grievant’s immediate supervisor when a meeting is scheduled, which may be the subject of a grievance, that this meeting shall be the first step of the grievance procedure.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The purpose of this procedure is to secure, at the lowest possible level, an equitable solution to the problems which may arise affecting the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Nothing herein shall be construed as limiting the right of any employee having a grievance to discuss the matter informally with any appropriate member of the Department in the Chain of Command as outlined in Steps One through Four of the grievance procedure.

A. If any of the time limits outlined herein are not met by the grievant, the grievance shall lapse.
B. If any of the time limits outlined herein are not met by the affected supervisor/administrator, in any step, the grievant may proceed to the next higher step.
C. All documents, communications, or records dealing with the grievance shall be filed separately from the personnel file of the grievant.
D. Both parties agree that the written records pertaining to the grievance shall be kept confidential.
E. The grievant must be present at all stages and shall be afforded the right to representation at any conference or hearing relating to the grievance. Options for representation afforded the grievant shall include but not be limited to:
1. Association Representative at the grievant’s building site;
2. Association Member at the grievant’s building site;
3. Association Officer;
4. Non-association employee at grievant’s building site;
5. Other representation of grievant’s choice; or
6. No representation. If the grievant retains an attorney as a representative, notification must be made immediately in writing to the MPS attorney to properly schedule for both attorneys to be present.
F. Steps shall be followed in sequence, subject to being discontinued by grievant at any point in this procedure.

2. To provide an orderly procedure for reviewing and resolving grievances promptly.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The purpose of this procedure is to secure, at the lowest possible administrative level, equitable solutions to grievance which may from time to time arise. Both parties agree that those proceedings will be kept as informal and confidential as may be appropriate at any level of the procedure. Nothing contained herein will be construed as limiting the rights of any employee having a grievance to discuss the matter informally with any appropriate member of the administration and having the grievance adjusted consistent with the terms of this agreement and that the Association has been given opportunity to be present at such adjustment.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. This grievance procedure shall be used to process and resolve grievances arising under this MOU in a just, equitable and expeditious manner. The employer shall not discriminate, coerce, restrain or retaliate against any employee or employees who participate in the grievance procedure.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The purpose of this section is to establish a procedure for the resolution of disputes occurring between the House Officer and the Medical Center. Article VII of the House staff Agreement shall supersede any grievance and hearing procedures provided for in the Rules for Governance of Rush University, the Bylaws of the Medical Staff of Rush University Medical Center, and the Personnel Policies and Procedures of Rush University Medical Center. However, any grievance with respect to Patents, Copyrights and Licenses resulting from and relating to the House Officer's work at the Medical Center shall be subject to the procedures set forth in the Medical Center's Policy and Procedures Manual for Patents, Copyrights, and Licenses. Please refer to Rush GMEC Grievance Procedures and Policies for details of the complete procedure. A brief outline of the process is provided below:
1. Filing of the Grievance Written and signed request filed with the appropriate chairperson and copied to the Xxxx within thirty (30) business days after the event(s) upon which the grievance is based.
