ACCOUNTNG FOR DIRECT AND INDIRECT CHARGES. Effective 1 Oct 2005, ATC began complying with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The primary change was that ATC’s charges only direct costs to DoD test customers and commercial customers who have a DoD contract that provides for government-furnished testing. Direct costs are those that support a specific program. Indirect costs do not directly support a specific program and may support multiple programs. DoD non-test customers and non-DoD customers will be charged an appropriate share of indirect costs, in addition to direct costs. The current ATCs system for financial accounting is the GFEBS. Labor that directly supports a specific program will be charged to the job number for that customer program. Examples of direct labor include test planning, setup, preparation, conduct, teardown, cleanup, data collection, analysis, and report preparation/review. It is only appropriate for supervisors to charge projects when their time is dedicated to a specific program, and is not general in nature. Labor that does not directly support a specific program will be charged to the appropriate indirect overhead job number. Examples of labor that would typically be considered indirect include range control workforce that supports multiple programs during normal operating hours, a test course manager who provides support to multiple programs, staff functions, general supervision, etc. When overtime is required to support a specific program, that labor cost is direct and should be charged to the customer job number, even though the service may be indirect during normal duty hours (such as range control). Material, supplies, and services that are consumed in support of a specific test program are considered direct costs, and should be charged to the customer job number. Equipment purchases, facility upgrades, and other purchases that exceed what would normally be consumed during testing may be considered direct, but will require specific justification to be approved for purchase with DoD test customer funds.   • Indirect Costs If indirect costs are charged, the Subrecipient will develop an indirect cost allocation plan for determining the appropriate Grantee share of administrative costs and shall submit such plan to the Grantee for approval.

  • Direct Charges To the extent Cash-based Expenses are incurred by the Contractor, the Contractor shall be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary actual direct costs incurred (e.g., equipment, supplies, travel and other costs directly associated with the performance of the Agreement) to the extent required in the performance of the Work and to the extent such costs are anticipated in the Budget. Travel, lodging, meals and incidental expenses shall be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary costs incurred. Costs shall not exceed the daily per diem rates published in the Federal Travel Regulations. Reimbursement for the use of personal vehicles shall be limited to the Internal Revenue Service business standard mileage rate in effect at the time the expense was incurred.

Direct Personnel Expense of employees engaged on the Project by the ARCHITECT/ENGINEER includes ARCHITECT/ENGINEERS, other engineers, designers, job captains, draftsmen, specification writers and typists, in consultation, research and design in producing Drawings, Specifications and other documents pertaining to the Project, and in services during construction at the site.

  • Direct Claims Any Action by an Indemnified Party on account of a Loss which does not result from a Third Party Claim (a “Direct Claim”) shall be asserted by the Indemnified Party giving the Indemnifying Party reasonably prompt written notice thereof, but in any event not later than 30 days after the Indemnified Party becomes aware of such Direct Claim. The failure to give such prompt written notice shall not, however, relieve the Indemnifying Party of its indemnification obligations, except and only to the extent that the Indemnifying Party forfeits rights or defenses by reason of such failure. Such notice by the Indemnified Party shall describe the Direct Claim in reasonable detail, shall include copies of all material written evidence thereof and shall indicate the estimated amount, if reasonably practicable, of the Loss that has been or may be sustained by the Indemnified Party. The Indemnifying Party shall have 30 days after its receipt of such notice to respond in writing to such Direct Claim. The Indemnified Party shall allow the Indemnifying Party and its professional advisors to investigate the matter or circumstance alleged to give rise to the Direct Claim, and whether and to what extent any amount is payable in respect of the Direct Claim and the Indemnified Party shall assist the Indemnifying Party’s investigation by giving such information and assistance (including access to the Company’s premises and personnel and the right to examine and copy any accounts, documents or records) as the Indemnifying Party or any of its professional advisors may reasonably request. If the Indemnifying Party does not so respond within such 30 day period, the Indemnifying Party shall be deemed to have rejected such claim, in which case the Indemnified Party shall be free to pursue such remedies as may be available to the Indemnified Party on the terms and subject to the provisions of this Agreement.

  • RECORDS MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE 35 A. CONTRACTOR, its officers, agents, employees and subcontractors shall, throughout the term 36 of this Agreement, prepare, maintain and manage records appropriate to the services provided and in 37 accordance with this Agreement and all applicable requirements.

  • Other Direct Costs If necessary to complete the Services, Contractor also agrees to procure and provide all materials or other direct cost items necessary to complete the Services and to charge Mercy Corps for only the actual costs incurred by Contractor for other direct costs incurred in performing the Services. Contractor will use its best efforts to obtain the best possible prices for all other direct costs, including, when reasonable, obtaining multiple competing bids and selecting the item with the best value. Contractor must obtain receipts for all costs it charges to Mercy Corps hereunder that are above $25 USD and include them in invoice submissions. Mercy Corps may request additional documentation regarding prices paid, quality, and contractual arrangements at any point and may withhold or dispute payment for any costs until such documentation is provided. Likewise, if Contractor makes purchases at rates that Mercy Corps reasonably determines exceed local market rates for the materials, Mercy Corps may choose to only reimburse Contractor for verified market rates in the local market.

  • Indirect Cost Rates The System Agency may acknowledge an indirect cost rate for Grantees that is utilized for all applicable contracts. Grantee will provide the necessary financial documents to determine the indirect cost rate in accordance with the Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG) and Uniform Grant Management Standards (UGMS).

  • Indirect Cost Except as otherwise authorized by this contract, no indirect costs shall be reimbursed.
