Common use of Accrual of Paid Personal/Carer’s Leave Clause in Contracts

Accrual of Paid Personal/Carer’s Leave. (a) Subject to transitional arrangements an employee shall accrue an amount of paid personal/carer’s leave, for each completed 4 week period of continuous service with the employer, of 1/26 of the number of ordinary hours worked by the employee for the employer during that 4 week period. (b) Paid personal/carer’s leave shall accrue on a pro-rata basis and be credited monthly. (c) Paid personal/carer’s leave is cumulative. (d) No payment will be made in lieu of accumulated personal/xxxxx’s leave. (e) Casual employees have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave. (f) Not paid on termination.
