Additional Committees or Workgroups. 20.5.1. All subsequent committees related to matters, including, but not limited to, facilities, apparatus, safety, uniforms, will be recommended for creation, modification, or termination by the Labor Management Committee, unless otherwise noted in this agreement. The Union President and the Fire Chief shall confer on the recommendations before the Fire Chief authorizes the creation, modification, or termination of any formal committee or workgroup. 20.5.2. In the interest of labor-management cooperation, the parties agree that any committee, discussion group or like entity formed by the County or Fire Department to discuss and/or provide recommendations regarding any matter(s) relating to or affecting bargaining unit employees will consist of at least fifty (50) percent of bargaining unit employees chosen by the Union. The Labor Management Committee may recommend the creation of all other committees related to matters covered by collective bargaining, as well as recommendations of the width, scope, and extent of those committees, including, but not limited to, recommending each committee’s size, membership requirements, roles, and length of time the committee shall be in existence, and the initial calendar of meetings, actionable items, and deliverables for each committee. 20.5.3. The Union’s selection of representatives for each committee will not require the County’s approval. The County may place members of the bargaining unit on any committee as a member of the Management team with approval by the Union. The County shall not discuss possible appointment to a committee with a bargaining unit member until after the employee’s appointment has been approved by the Union. 20.5.4. If interest in a committee is decided by the parties to be solicited by Departmental Order the Union shall be given the option to select its chosen representatives from the bargaining unit first, the County then may appoint non- bargaining unit personnel without the Union’s approval or bargaining unit employees with the approval of the Union. 20.5.5. All time spent by members at or for all approved Fire Department Committees shall be considered as “hours worked” by the County.

  • Sub-Committees 15.1 The Joint Committee shall establish the membership and terms of reference for any sub-committees or sub-groups which it establishes and may dissolve such sub-committees or sub-groups. Sub-committees to which the Joint Committee delegates functions are bound by the provisions of this Agreement regulating the taking of decisions by the Joint Committee. The Joint Committee may create additional sub-committees from time to time as it sees fit.

  • Committees of the Board The Board of Managers may from time to time appoint such standing or special committees as it may deem for the best interest of the Company, but no such committee shall have any powers, except such as are expressly conferred upon it by the Board of Managers.

  • Joint Committees 1101 Release Time (a) Basic pay or equivalent time off, with a minimum of one (1) hour guaranteed to nurses who are not on duty, will be granted to nurses appointed by the Union to attend meetings of the Union Management Committee and any other Facility joint committee to which the Union is required to appoint representatives. (b) All reasonable efforts will be made to relieve a nurse who is appointed to attend meetings of the Union Management Committee, Nursing Advisory Committee or any other facility joint committee to which the Union is required to appoint representatives, without loss of salary or benefits. Appointments shall be made for a term of one (1) year but without limit on the number of consecutive terms a member may serve. The Committee shall meet at the request of either party subject to five (5) days notice being given but not less than bi-monthly unless otherwise mutually agreed. The purpose of the Committee shall be to discuss/study/make recommendations to the Employer and the Union regarding matters of mutual concern. 1103 Nursing Advisory Committee

  • Subcommittees Unless otherwise provided in the Certificate of Incorporation, these bylaws or the resolutions of the Board designating the committee, a committee may create one (1) or more subcommittees, each subcommittee to consist of one (1) or more members of the committee, and delegate to a subcommittee any or all of the powers and authority of the committee.

  • Calendar Committee The calendar committee is charged with the task of collaborating with site base teams in developing the academic calendar. The committee should complete its recommendations by consensus and report these to the Board no later than January 31.

  • Performance of Reviews The RIRs shall send a request for review to the Operator per email, where they shall specify the areas they request a review for. The Operator must comply with the request by providing the requested information within working days. The review may include an onsite inspection. In this case the RIRs and the Operator must agree on a specific date for the inspection to take place, which may not be later than sixty calendar days from the date of the request.

  • Steering Committee A. CIFNAL/ICBFN shall be managed by a Steering Committee comprised of elected representatives from the membership. B. The Steering Committee is empowered to conduct the business of CIFNAL/ICBFN in accordance with the recommendations of the membership; approve and enact project activities; discuss and recommend future policy or changes in policy to be adopted by the membership; make budgetary decisions for CIFNAL/ICBFN; approach funding agencies; conduct periodic membership drives; and maintain communication with scholarly and professional associations as well as with other, similar cooperative projects. C. The Steering Committee shall consist of at least five representatives of CIFNAL/ICBFN. 1. Four representatives shall be elected to at-large positions on the Steering Committee in accordance with the procedures in Section VIII. At least one representative shall be from a French or francophone institution. 2. The Chair of CIFNAL/ICBFN shall chair the Steering Committee. 3. Elected Coordinators of standing Working Groups shall serve on the Steering Committee for the period of their elected terms. 4. A representative of CRL shall serve as an ex officio member of the Steering Committee. D. An advisory group of scholars and end-users, including representatives from academic organizations concerned with library and scholarly issues in francophone studies as well as non-academic information users and providers, shall be appointed by the Steering Committee as appropriate. The makeup of the advisory group shall be formulated to provide a balance of opinion and diversity of expertise. Members of the advisory group need not be from institutions that are a member of CIFNAL/ICBFN, and shall serve as ex officio members of the Steering Committee. E. All elected representatives on the Steering Committee, including the Chair, shall have equal votes on matters requiring a formal approval by the Committee. Each member shall be accorded one vote. Ex officio members shall be non-voting members. F. Steering Committee Members shall serve three-year terms, with staggered elections; re- election is permitted for one additional term. Elected members begin their term of office immediately following the annual membership meeting. G. In the event a member is unable to serve a full term, the Chair shall appoint a replacement to serve the remainder of the term. Following this period, the replacement shall be eligible to stand for election according to the terms of Section V.

  • The Joint Committee (a) shall be composed of representatives of the Governments of the Parties; and (b) may establish and delegate its responsibilities to Sub-Committees.
