Common use of Additional Holiday Compensation Clause in Contracts

Additional Holiday Compensation. If an employee works on any of the holidays listed in Section 11 above, he/she shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked in addition to his/her regular holiday pay. For purposes of this section, the holiday shall include the hours from 0000 hours of the date of the holiday until 2400 on the date of the holiday inclusive. Employees working on a holiday in an overtime capacity shall be paid at the rate of time and one half for all hours worked in addition to his/her regular holiday pay as described above, plus an additional one-half hour for each hour worked as overtime on the designated holiday.
