Common use of Afternoon Shift Clause in Contracts

Afternoon Shift. Commences at 4:00 p.m. or up to 4 hours before or after 4:00 p.m. as determined by the employer. Payment shall be at straight time rates plus shift premium for the first 8 hours worked Monday to Friday inclusive. For all work performed after 8 hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and Recognized holidays, payment shall be at prevailing overtime rates plus shift premium for hours worked.
