Alternate Delegates Clause Samples

The Alternate Delegates clause establishes the right for a party to appoint substitute representatives to attend meetings or perform duties when the primary delegate is unavailable. Typically, this clause outlines the process for designating alternates, any required notice to the other party, and the scope of authority granted to the alternate delegate, such as voting rights or participation in decision-making. Its core function is to ensure continuity and prevent disruptions in representation or decision-making due to the absence of the originally designated individual.

Alternate Delegates. Every delegate will have the right to one alternate delegate within the group he/she represents. This alternate delegate will be named by the Union and will have the same responsibilities and rights in his absence. It is understood that the alternate delegates can also be called to assist Union businesses when required. Delegates will be paid according to the letter of understanding agreed between the Union and the Company.
