Alternative Duty Assignment. 25 When the prescribing physician determines that an employee should not be 26 assigned to operate a commercial motor vehicle or perform other safety sensitive 27 functions because the employee is using a controlled substance pursuant to a 28 prescription, the employee may be assigned, at the Employer’s discretion, to 29 alternative duties. If the Employer does not elect to make such a temporary 30 assignment, the employee’s absence shall be covered by available leave credits.
Alternative Duty Assignment. Alternative Duty Assignment. Upon receipt of medical documentation that a Member is temporarily unable to perform 20 all of the essential functions of his/her current position due to an on-the-job injury, illness, or 21 occupational disease, which is accepted by the District’s Workers Compensation carrier, the 22 District may offer alternative duty in accordance with subsection (8) of NRS 616C.475. 23 Alternative duty shall be limited to that which is within the physical limitations or restrictions 24 imposed upon the work of the employee by the Treating Physician authorized pursuant to NRS 25 616B.527 or appropriately chosen pursuant to subsection (3) of NRS 616C.090 and which 26 contributes in a meaningful and identifiable way to the function and mission of the District.
