Animal Care and Control Graveyard Shift. 214. The Department of Animal Care & Control agrees to allow employees assigned to work the graveyard shift to waive their one-hour lunch break with prior supervisor approval based on operational need which will result in a one hour reduction in the length of their work shift. At any time, the Department may re-evaluate the feasibility of the work schedules and determine whether it is appropriate to allow employees who work the graveyard shift to waive their one-hour lunch break. In such event the employee would work the full number of work hours assigned.

Animal Care and Control Graveyard Shift. 187. For a one-month trial period beginning October 1, 2001, the Department of Animal Care & Control agrees to allow employees assigned to work the graveyard shift to waive their one-hour lunch break in order to reduce the length of their work shift. The purpose of the trial period is to evaluate whether any change in the length of the graveyard work shift has a negative impact on morning shift operational needs. At the end of the trial period, the Department will determine whether it is appropriate to allow employees who work the graveyard shift to waive their one-hour lunch break.
