Animal Care. The animals shall be housed in environmentally controlled rooms with at least 10 air changes per hour. The rooms shall be maintained at a temperature of 24 ±2 °C and humidity of 50 ±20 percent with a 12-hour light/dark cycle per day. The animals shall be kept in a quarantine facility for at least 7 days prior to use and shall be acclimated to the experi- mental environment for a minimum of 48 hours prior to administration of the test substance.
Animal Care. Adopter agrees to provide the following care to maintain the good health, condition and happiness of your new animal: Annual Veterinary Care – Rabies and Distemper vaccinations, parasite checks, dental care, ear care, Heartworm and flea preventative, as well as any additional necessary and reasonable veterinary care. Adopter moreover agrees to take Animal to be examined by Adopter’s Veterinarian within one (1) month of the date of adoption. Additionally, Adopter will take Animal to a Veterinarian of choice for annual care including general examination, vaccinations, fecal testing, heartworm/lyme testing, annual preventatives as well as any additional necessary and reasonable veterinary care. Adopter understands Furry Friends Network requires all Adopted Animals as well as resident Animals in Adopter’s home be tested annually for Heartworm and Lyme Disease and the Animal be given a monthly preventative such as Sentinel, Heartgard or another heartworm preventative product that is purchased from Animal’s Veterinarian. Adopter agrees to provide proof of testing and purchased preventatives to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. Additionally, Adopter gives permission to Furry Friends Network to verify such care directly with the Veterinarian office. Adopter will provide proof of annual care to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. Additionally, Adopter gives permission to Furry Friends Network to verify such care directly with the Veterinarian office. If such care is not provided, Adopter understands it will be considered a breach of the Adoption Agreement and consents to FFN revoking their ownership rights and the removal of the animal from the Adopter’s home. Adopter additionally agrees to exercise Animal on a daily basis by means of walking, yard play, dog parks, etc. Animal will require at least one to two hours of exercise (off and on property) each day to ensure a mental and physical well-being. Animal Care. Researchers and Suppliers must provide living conditions for research animals that are appropriate for their species and contribute to their health and well-being. Personnel who care for animals or who conduct animal studies must be appropriately qualified regarding the proper care and use of animals in research.

The rooms shall be maintained at a tem- perature of 18 to 26 degrees centigrade and humidity of 40 to 70 percent with a 12–hour light/dark cycle per day. The animal subjects shall be kept in a quar- antine facility for at least 7 days prior to use, and shall be acclimated to the experimental environment for a min- imum of 48 hours prior to treatment.
(C) During the acclimatization pe- riod, the rats shall be housed in suit- able cages. All animals shall be pro- vided with certified feed and tap water ad libitum.

Animal Care. Animals impounded in the Pound shall receive kind treatment, sufficient food and water for the Animal's comfort, and proper care and shelter.
Animal Care. Recipient agrees that, insofar as the Research involves the use of animals, the Research shall be conducted in accordance with the AstraZeneca International Policy on Animal Care and Use, a copy of which is attached in Schedule 3.
Animal Care. 6.1 TAb and MH will agree on methods for handling the sheep which are designed to minimise the risk of illness and disease during the term of this agreement. A preventative approach to common diseases will be taken, including the use of Footbathing, Ivomec drenching, 6-in-1 vaccination and lice control.
6.2 TAb, in consultation with a nominated veterinarian, will take all reasonable steps to meet MH requirements regarding the introduction of animals onto Martindale.
6.3 Animals newly introduced to Martindale by TAb will be treated for external parasites at the earliest opportunity after shearing or, where shearing is not due for some time, will be treated with a long wool treatment (eg. Vanquish).
6.4 TAb will advise MH of the health status and origin of animals and, where possible, provide copies of any inspection certification.
Animal Care. 6.1 The City shall promptly transport injured dogs to a veterinarian, if the owner of the animal is unknown or cannot be located in a timely fashion. The City will be responsible for the payment of veterinary fees to keep the animal comfortable. Once the animal has been treated and released from the veterinary clinic, the City may transport the dog to the Society.
6.2 In the event that the Society is required to comply with a Public Health Ontario mandate for rabies vaccination pursuant to Regulation 567 or the Health Protection and Promotion Act of Ontario, the City shall reimburse the Society for the cost of vaccinating all dogs brought into the Pound under this agreement, with exception of unclaimed dogs which are adopted after the expiry of the Redemption Period, pursuant to Section 3.1 and dogs brought to the Pound as a result of a dog bite quarantine by a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer or their designate. Owner’s claiming their dog during the Redemption Period shall be required to pay restitution to the Society for such vaccination alleviating the City of any financial obligation. If the Owner fails to pay restitution to the Society, the Society shall contact the City for further directives prior to releasing any dog. In the event that the Society fails to contact the City prior to releasing a dog, the Society acknowledges that the City will not be responsible for any additional costs.
6.3 Subject to the following, if the owner of a dog is unknown or cannot be located in a timely fashion, the City agrees to pay, for medical care required to keep a sick or injured dog comfortable while in the care of the Society but still the property of the City (the “Veterinary Fees” and together with the “Service Fees”, the “Fees”). If the dog owner is identified and pays restitution to the Society for such Veterinary Fees, the City shall not be responsible to pay the Society for such Veterinary Fees. If the Owner fails to pay restitution to the Society, the Society shall contact the City for further directives prior to releasing any dog. In the event that the Society fails to contact the City prior to releasing a dog, the Society acknowledges that the City will not be responsible for any additional costs.
6.4 The City agrees that this Agreement only addresses dogs impounded under the authority of the By-Law.

Animal Care. Animal owners are responsible for making sure that reasonable sanitary standards are maintained everywhere the animal is present. This includes regular cleaning of the room and crate or cage. • Animal owners are responsible for feeding and watering the animal within all living areas. If the animal vomits or becomes incontinent, it is the owner’s responsibility to clean the waste immediately. • Animal owners are responsible for providing appropriate veterinary medical care on both an ongoing and an emergency basis. • Animal owners are responsible for being knowledgeable of state and local immunization and licensing requirements for their animals and complying with those requirements. • Animal owners are expected to use maintenance flea prevention year-round (if applicable to animal type). If an animal is found to have fleas, the animal owner should submit a Fix My Home request for pest control. Should flea treatment of the living space become necessary, the animal owner will be responsible for the cost of treatment, resulting in a charge added to the owner’s account. • Should an animal owner be unavailable to care for their animal, Housing and Residence Life will contact their backup handler to provide care. If the backup handler is unable to take the animal, the animal may be released to an animal shelter.
