e. Completion of fifteenth year, twenty-eight (28) working days.
f. From the beginning of the twentieth year, thirty (30) working days.
19.3 After the first full year of service, vacation days shall be distributed on January 1. If an employee terminates after taking vacation in advance of it being earned, the field Authority has the right by law to hold back pay equal to the amount due
19.4 The rate of vacation pay shall be the employee's regular straight time rate of pay in which he/she effect for the employee's regular job on the payday immediately preceding his vacation period, unless the employee was temporarily being paid in a higher title.
19.5 An employee who is hired, he/she called back to work while on authorized vacation shall accrue be paid one day's pay in addition to regular day's pay and shall not lose vacation leave at day or days.
19.6 Vacation allowance must be taken during the rate current calendar year unless the Employer determines that it cannot be taken because of the pressure of work. Any vacation allowance so denied may be carried over into the next succeeding year. A maximum of fifteen (15) vacation days, at the option of the employee, may be carried over from one calendar year into the succeeding year. Carry over of more than 15 vacation days requires the written approval of the Executive Director not to exceed a total of thirty (30) vacation days.
19.7 A permanent employee who returns from military service is entitled to full vacation allowance for each the calendar year of service performed. The City shall evaluate employees hired before February 1, 2002 who have not yet performed five (5) full years of City service, to determine if they possessed the required experience when they were hired. If so, their accrual rate will be changed to fifteen (15) days. If not, their accrual rate will be changed from ten (10) days to twelve (12) days effective January 1, 2002. 19.10 Part-time permanent employees will earn vacation per yearon the basis of one day for every 20 full days worked. Time may Part-time temporary, part- time provisional, seasonal, or hourly paid employees shall not be sold twice annually in June and Decemberentitled to vacation leave.

Annual Vacation Leave. 7.1 The purpose of annual vacation leave is to enable each eligible employee to return to work physically and mentally refreshedSECTION 1. Upon being separated from City service, an eligible employee shall be entitled to compensation for any accrued but unused vacation calculated at the rate of pay at the time of termination. The vacation/holiday sign-up for Police Services Aide, Administrative Specialist-Police, Police Service Technician and Dispatcher, will be posted in the authorized work locations of the respective police divisions no later than November 1, to be completed by December 1, for the next calendar year.
7.2 The following vacation leave provisions do not apply to hourly or part-time employees. Vacation leave for each Each regular full-time employee shall earn annual vacation leave credits from the first day of employment, with one (1) year of employment for each period of 2,080 hours of service following his/her date of employment; an employee must be accrued and credited with eighty (80) hours of service for the every bi-weekly pay period in which it is earned. An employee holding a full-time position shall be entitled to vacation leave which shall accrue at the rate of twelve (12) days for each calendar year of service performed. SECTION 2. Absence from employment by reason of illness shall not be chargeable against unused vacation leave credits unless approved by the employee.
SECTION 3. An employee who terminates his employment for reasons not reflecting discredit on himself shall be entitled upon the date of such termination to cash compensation of his/her regular rate of fifteen pay for unused vacation leave, assuming that the employee has worked the qualifying period of six (156) months and other conditions set forth above.
SECTION 4. Annual vacation leave may be accumulated to a total not to exceed two times the maximum number of days for each earned annually as of the end of the first pay period of the next calendar year year. Excess vacation time is not forfeited if taken within ninety (90) calendar days from the last day of service performed. The City shall evaluate employees hired before February 1, 2002 who have not yet performed five (5) full years of City service, to determine if they possessed the required experience when they were hired. If so, their accrual rate will be changed to fifteen (15) days. If not, their accrual rate will be changed from ten (10) days to twelve (12) days effective January 1, 2002. In the calendar year in which the excess was accrued.
SECTION 5. Vacation leave taken over a holiday may not be charged to an employee holding a full-time position completes five (5) full years of City service, such employee employee’s vacation leave for that day.

Annual Vacation Leave. 7.1 The purpose of annual vacation leave is to enable each eligible employee annually to return to work physically and mentally refreshed. In All· full time employees in the administration of this section, administrative personnel classified service shall be guided entitled to annual vacation leave with pay. Employees not eligible for vacation leave with pay are:
1) Employees still serving their original probationary period in the services of the City; however, vacation credits for the time shall be granted to each such employee who later received a permanent appointment.
2) Employees who work on an intermittent or seasonal basis and all part-time employees. All eligible employees in the first through fifth year of continuous service shall earn vacation credit at the rate of eighty (80) hours per year. Beginning with the sixth year and through the twelfth year of continuous service employees shall earn vacation credit at the rate of one hundred twenty (120) hours per year. Beginning with the thirteenth year of continuous service and thereafter employees shall earn vacation credit at the rate of one hundred sixty (160) hours per year. Each eligible employee shall be required to have served the equivalent of one year of continuous service in the City in order to be eligible for his/her full annual vacation leave. After six (6) months of continuous service, the employee may be permitted to take vacation leave not to exceed forty (40) hours. In no event, however, will paid vacation be granted in excess of earned vacation credits. Vacation leave must be approved in advance by this stated purposethe Department Head or City Manager. The time times during a calendar year at which an employee shall may take his/her vacation leave during the calendar year shall be determined by the Department Head with due regard for to the wishes of the employee, employee and particular regard for the needs of the departmentservice. Vacation Cap Effective July 1, 2017, an employee may accumulate vacation to a maximum of five hundred fifty (550) hours. Vacation leave is accrued as earned, and the amount of vacation leave accumulated shall not exceed the maximum. Accrual shall stop whenever the employee is at the maximum. Upon reaching the maximum allowed accumulation, future vacation hours shall not be earned unless or until vacation usage or cash out causes the employee's accrual to fall below the maximum limit set forth in this MOU. The City will increase a cash out to one hundred forty (140) hours for the first year to assist employees reach the vacation cap of five hundred fifty (550) hours. Cash out will go back to one hundred (100) hours after the first year set forth in this MOU. In addition, the City will allow employees to determine the month they would like to request their cash out. Effective July 1, 2017, the Union agrees to decrease the maximum vacation hour accrual from six hundred forty (640) hours to a maximum of five-hundred and fifty (550) hours. Vacation leave is accrued as earned and the amount of vacation leave accumulated shall not exceed the maximum. Accrual shall stop whenever the employee is at the maximum. All employees who have an accrued vacation balance over three hundred ninety (390) hours through June 30, 2017 shall have the opportunity to transfer up to three hundred and fifty (350) hours to a secondary vacation account. All employees who are eligible for the secondary vacation account must identify their election amount on or by September 30, 2017. After September 30, 2017 there will be no further transfers in or out of the secondary vacation account. All eligible employees with a secondary vacation account must utilize their secondary account vacation balance in full prior to utilizing any primary vacation account leave. In the event one (1) or more municipal holidays falls fall within a an annual vacation leave, such days holidays shall not be charged as vacation leave leave, and the vacation leave shall be extended accordingly for those employees eligible for such holidaysaccordingly. Employees may accumulate who terminate employment shall be paid in a lump sum for all accrued vacation leave upon termination of employment. Effective July 1, 2018 employees represented by the Group may be paid for up to one hundred (100) hours per annum for compensable time. Sick time is excluded from this provision. Vacation requests shall not be unreasonably denied. Vacation leave may be taken in hourly units.
20.2 Annual Vacation leave with pay for all full-time permanent employees shall be distributed as follows:
a. One
(1) working day of twelve (12) days vacation for each month of service during the remainder of the calendar year following the date of service performed. If a newly hired employee possesses appointment.
b. Up to completion of five (5) years years, fifteen (15) working days.
c. From beginning of experience sixth year to completion of tenth year, eighteen (18) working days.
d. From beginning of eleventh year to completion of fifteenth year, twenty-three (23) working days.
e. Completion of fifteenth year, twenty-eight (28) working days.
f. From the beginning of the twentieth year, thirty (30) working days.
20.3 After the first full year of service, vacation days shall be distributed on January 1. If an employee terminates after taking vacation in advance of it being earned, the field Authority has the right by law to hold back pay equal to the amount due.
20.4 The rate of vacation pay shall be the employee's regular straight time rate of pay in which he/she effect for the employee's regular job on the payday immediately preceding his vacation period, unless the employee was temporarily being paid in a higher title.
20.5 An employee who is hired, he/she called back to work while on authorized vacation shall accrue be paid one day's pay in addition to regular day's pay and shall not lose vacation leave at day or days.
20.6 Vacation allowance must be taken during the rate current calendar year unless the Employer determines that it cannot be taken because of the pressure of work. Any vacation allowance so denied may be carried over into the next succeeding year. A maximum of fifteen (15) days vacation days, at the option of the employee, may be carried over from one calendar year into the succeeding year, not to exceed a total of thirty (30) vacation days.
20.7 A permanent employee who returns from military service is entitled to full vacation allowance for each the calendar year of service performed. The City shall evaluate employees hired before February 1, 2002 who have not yet performed five (5) full years of City service, to determine if they possessed the required experience when they were hired. If so, their accrual rate will be changed to fifteen (15) days. If not, their accrual rate will be changed from ten (10) days to twelve (12) days effective January 1, 2002. In return and for the year in which an preceding, providing the latter can be taken during the year of return.
20.8 An employee holding a full-time position completes five (5) full years of City service, such employee covered by this Agreement who is retiring or who has otherwise separated shall be entitled to fifteen the vacation allowance for the current year prorated upon the number of months worked in the calendar year in which the separation or retirement becomes effective and three-quarters (15¾) work days any vacation leave which may have been carried over from the preceding calendar year.
20.9 Whenever an employee covered by this Agreement dies, having to his/her credit any annual vacation leave, there shall be calculated and paid to his estate a sum of vacation for service performed. For each full year money equal to the compensation figured on his salary at the time of fulldeath.
20.10 Part-time City service completed thereafter, three-quarters (¾) permanent employees will earn vacation on the basis of a work one day vacation shall be added up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) work for every 20 full days of vacationworked. Annual Vacation Leave. 7.1 The purpose 12.01 Permanent faculty and LTA faculty with terms of annual appointment longer than twelve (12) months are entitled to forty-five (45) working days paid vacation leave annually, pro-rated based on FTE and date of hire and calculated as of July 1st of each year. Teaching permanent and LTA faculty whose teaching assignment is exclusive to enable the Fall and Winter academic semesters shall take their vacation leave starting June 15 of each eligible employee year, or the closest working day following. Teaching permanent and LTA faculty whose teaching assignment is not exclusive to the Fall and Winter academic semesters shall take vacation leave at times mutually agreed to with the Supervisor. In such cases, vacation leave will normally be taken as one uninterrupted leave period, subject to faculty return dates published by the VPRAA for each academic semester. Remaining vacation leave, if any, must be taken within the academic year, subject to approval of the Supervisor. Faculty returning from a sabbatical expiring on June 30 shall take their vacation leave during the period July 1 – August 31. Vacation leave time shall not be carried forward from year to year. In exceptional circumstances and subject to the approval of the VPRAA, faculty may bank their unused vacation days and elect to take their vacation leave on a per-day basis during any of the following fall, winter, or spring semesters.
12.02 If the VPRAA requires a faculty member to return to work physically during vacation leave and mentally refreshed. In the administration faculty member agrees to work, then:
a) The faculty member shall receive credit of this sectionone (1) day for each day or portion thereof as required and;
b) The faculty member must take the additional time in the following year.
12.03 Vacation leave entitlement shall not accrue during periods of leaves of absences without pay, administrative personnel shall be guided by this stated purpose. The time at which an employee or while a faculty member is on long-term disability.

Such approval shall be recorded in the employee's personnel file. An employee who fails to take accrued vacation leave within the time herein prescribed shall lose such accrued vacation leave. The additional year accrual maximum will expire after 12 months, at which time the maximum will return to two (2) years. An employee who is in unpaid status for 44 or more hours in a pay period shall not accrue vacation leave for that pay period. Permanent or probationary employees in receipt of Long Term Disability benefits shall have their Annual Vacation Leave entitlement reduced on a pro-rated basis to reflect the length of time in receipt of Long Term Disability benefits until the employee returns to work for the Company in any form of remunerated employment. If an employee produces medical evidence, satisfactory to the Company, proving that they were incapacitated to the extent which required them to be confined or hospitalized due to sickness injury, for a period of three (3) working days or more during their annual vacation, such whole period shall not be included in the employee’s annual vacation entitlement, but shall be charged to the employee’s Short Term Disability Plan, subject to the agreement of the Company.
