Appointments, Reappointments, and Notice Periods. (a) For their initial appointments or for their initial appointments after a break in service of more than one semester, such faculty members may be appointed for a period of one semester or of one, two, or four years, at the discretion of the Chair/Head with approval of the Xxxx. When the Chair/Head believes that the appointment of NTT faculty is unlikely to be renewed because the appointment is intended to fill a clearly temporary need, such as to teach the courses of a tenured faculty member on sabbatical, the Chair/Head may offer the NTT faculty member an appointment for one year or less and designated as “terminal,” for which no notice of appointment or reappointment is required and for which the following provisions for reappointment do not apply.

  • Reappointments At least three (3) months prior to the completion of an employee’s initial probationary appointment to a Type B contract position, the employee will be advised of reappointment and the terms thereof, or will be advised that reappointment will not be made. A reappointment to a Type B contract position subsequent to the initial probationary period may be made for:

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.

  • Continuing Appointments A Continuing appointment signifies the right of a Member to continuous employment that may be terminated only through the mechanisms provided in Article 8.
