Apprentice Hiring. With regard to the Apprenticeship Program, the parties remain committed to this process, and will continue to establish the goals necessary to cover long-term attrition beyond the life of this Agreement, when the targeted resource levels are attained or progress indicates objectives will be met. In addition, due to the unique circumstances involved, consideration will be given to Local requests for an exemption from the standard selection procedure involving non-seniority candidates, provided qualifications and diversity objectives are protected.
