Approved Project Budget. Except as FTA determines otherwise in writing, the Recipient agrees that:
Approved Project Budget. Except to the extent that FTA determines otherwise in writing, the Recipient agrees as follows: The Recipient will prepare a Project budget which, upon approval by FTA, is designated the “Approved Project Budget.” The Recipient will incur obligations and make disbursements of Project funds only as authorized by the latest Approved Project Budget, which will be incorporated by reference and made part of the underlying Grant Agreement or Cooperative Agreement for the Project. The Recipient agrees that an amendment to the Approved Project Budget requires the issuance of a formal amendment to the underlying Grant Agreement or Cooperative Agreement, except that re-allocation of funds among budget items or fiscal years that does not increase the total amount of the Federal assistance awarded for the Project may be made consistent with applicable Federal laws and regulations, in accordance with the most recent applicable Federal directives and FTA guidance. The Recipient agrees to obtain prior FTA approval before making transfers of funds not expressly authorized in FTA circulars or other directives. The Recipient also agrees to obtain prior written approval for any budget revision that would result in the need for additional Federal assistance. An award of additional Federal assistance will require a new Approved Project Budget. If the Recipient estimates that it will have unobligated funds remaining after the end of the performance period of the Project, the Recipient agrees to report this to FTA at the earliest possible time and ask for disposition instructions.
Approved Project Budget. (1) Means the most recent statement of the:
(a) Project costs,
(b) Maximum amount of Federal funds for which the Recipient is eligible,
(c) Specific tasks (including specific contingencies) covered, and
(d) Estimated cost of each task that FTA has approved,
(2) As used in the “Approved Project Budget”:
Approved Project Budget. Submit a copy of the budget that was included with the signed grant agreement or approved project modification (if applicable).
Approved Project Budget. The Grantee agrees to carry out the Project in accordance with the Approved Project Budget, written approval of which the Grantee shall secure prior to being paid under this Agreement. If the Approved Project Budget is included in this Agreement as Attachment 3, execution of the Agreement shall constitute such written approval. The Grantee agrees to obtain the prior written approval of FRA's Associate Administrator for Railroad Development or the Associate Administrator for Railroad Safety, as applicable, for any revisions to the Approved Project Budget that equal or exceed 10 percent any line item or pertain to a line item involving contingency or miscellaneous costs. For revisions to the Approved Project Budget that are less than 10 percent of any line item, and do not involve contingency or miscellaneous costs, the Grantee agrees to notify FRA of the revisions to the Approved Project Budget. Any revisions to the Approved Project Budget must not affect total project costs or the respective cost-sharing responsibilities set forth in Attachment 1, Section 5.

Prior written SANDAG Project Manager approval is required for transfers of funds between Approved Project Budget line items.
Approved Project Budget. Except as the State determines otherwise in writing, the Subrecipient agrees that it shall prepare a project budget that, after the state has provided its approval, will be designated as the “Approved Project Budget,” and made part of the Project Grant Agreement.
