Common use of Assaults Clause in Contracts

Assaults. 1. The Board shall tolerate no verbal abuse or physical assault on Bargaining Unit Members and recognizes the right of a Bargaining Unit Member to protect his/her person or a student from assault. All assaults must be reported as soon as possible to the nearest administrator's office. 2. As used in this Section, "assault" means the infliction of physical injury or the use or threat of force upon the body of a Bargaining Unit Member.
