Common use of Assignment Notification Clause in Contracts

Assignment Notification. The College will provide the following upon written request from a part-time/adjunct faculty member: a. Between September 1 and one (1) week prior to beginning of classes, the College will provide to part-time/adjunct faculty members, who have been employed by the College for any part of the two (2) immediately consecutive prior years, a proposed schedule of assigned classes for the coming academic year. b. For others, by the third week of the current term, a proposed work assignment will be provided for the following term. The proposed assignment notification is not an enforceable employment contract. It is an expression of the College’s tentative assignment plans based on information available at the time of notification.
