Association Leave The Association shall be allowed to use up to 5 days of leave each school year for use by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association. The Association shall reimburse Unified School District 434 for the loss of use of the teacher taking such leave by paying the daily cost of a substitute teacher. The Association shall notify the Superintendent not less than 5 calendar days in advance of using such leave.
Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year. 2. The following provisions were not bargained and have been included for informational purposes only: a. Because of the many responsibilities imposed on the President of the Association, and in order to enhance the quality of instruction in the classes taught by him or her and maintain continuity, the Board will provide the building to which the President is assigned with a full-time aide who is also a certified substitute teacher. b. The building principal and the President will work out a mutually agreed upon schedule for the use of the aide. c. The presence of this aide will not be used to justify absences in excess of those authorized by the terms of this Agreement.
Association Business Leave A total of ten (10) days Association Business Leave shall be allowed by the district on condition that a competent qualified substitute employee is available and willing to serve. The designated representative of the Association and officers of the Association shall be allowed to take such leave for conducting Association Business or to attend state or local conferences. Substitutes hired by the District to cover such absences shall be paid for by the Association. At least five (5) normal business days advance notification of intent to take such leave shall be given to the Superintendent by the Association President.
Chapter 139 No person shall on the grounds of religion or on the grounds of sex (including, on the grounds that a woman is pregnant), be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination, to include sexual harassment, under any program or activity supported by State of Vermont and/or federal funds. Party further shall comply with the non-discrimination requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 USC Section 2000d, et seq., and with the federal guidelines promulgated pursuant to Executive Order 13166 of 2000, requiring that contractors and subcontractors receiving federal funds assure that persons with limited English proficiency can meaningfully access services. To the extent Party provides assistance to individuals with limited English proficiency through the use of oral or written translation or interpretive services, such individuals cannot be required to pay for such services.
Court Leave Leave of absence with pay shall be given to every employee, other than an employee on leave of absence without pay or under suspension, who is required:
CHAPTER “Chapter” shall mean any organizational unit of the Association that is based at a single University.
Personal/Carer’s Leave 18.1 Entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave a) Paid personal leave will be available to an Employee (other than casual Employees) when they are absent due to: (i) personal illness or injury (sick leave); or (ii) for the purposes of caring for an immediate family or household member who is sick and requires the Employee's care and support (carer's leave). b) The amount of personal leave to which an Employee is entitled is as follows: (i) Upon commencement of employment Employees will automatically be credited with 5 days Personal and/or Xxxxx’s leave. After 6 months of employment, the leave will begin to accrue progressively up until it reaches 10 days at the conclusion of 12 months employment. (ii) Once the Employee has completed one year of continuous employment, the Employee shall be credited with a further ten days personal leave entitlement at the beginning of the Employee's second and subsequent year, which subject to clause 18.1(f) hereof, shall commence on the anniversary of engagement. c) In any year unused personal leave accrues. d) An Employee will inform the Company of the Employee's inability to attend for duty, and need to take personal leave, as soon as practicable. e) An Employee shall prove to the Company's satisfaction that the Employee’s Personal/Xxxxx’s leave is/was justified. Such evidence may be a medical practitioner’s certificate, or a statutory declaration. An Employee will not be required to provide such evidence for single days of absence but only where two or more consecutive days of absence are taken. f) If an Employee’s employment is terminated by the Company and is re-engaged within a period of six months, then the Employee's unclaimed balance of sick leave shall continue from the date of re-engagement. In such case the Employee's next year of service will commence after a total of twelve months has been served with that Company excluding the period of interruption in service from the date of commencement of the previous period of employment or the anniversary of the commencement of the previous period of employment, as the case may be. g) Unpaid carer’s leave will be in accordance with the NES. 18.2 Immediate family or household a) The entitlement to use personal leave for the purpose of carer's or compassionate leave is subject to the person being either: (i) a member of the Employee's immediate family; or (ii) a member of the Employees' household. b) The term immediate family includes: (i) a spouse, de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the Employee; or (ii) a child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of a spouse or de facto partner of the Employee.
Employment of foreign nationals The Contractor acknowledges, agrees and undertakes that employment of foreign personnel by the Contractor and/or its Sub-contractors and their sub- contractors shall be subject to grant of requisite regulatory permits and approvals including employment/ residential visas and work permits, if any required, and the obligation to apply for and obtain the same shall always rest with the Contractor. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement, refusal of or inability to obtain any such permits and approvals by the Contractor or any of its Sub- contractors or their sub-contractors shall not constitute a Force Majeure Event, and shall not in any manner excuse the Contractor from the performance and discharge it of its obligations and liabilities under this Agreement, and the Contractor’s liabilities hereunder shall remain unaffected by such failure, refusal or inability.
Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act The Mortgagor has not notified the Seller, and the Seller has no knowledge of any relief requested or allowed to the Mortgagor under the Relief Act or any similar state statute;
Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part-time Nurses who are elected to the College of Nurses to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Nurses who are elected to the RNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Practical Nurses who are elected to the RPNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings.
