Personal care means the provision of hands-on services to assist an individual with activities of daily living.
Personal Leave means leave provided for:
maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.
paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.
Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.
civil service means the civil service of the State;
Personal service means professional or technical expertise
parental bereavement leave means leave under section 80EA of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Personal care services means both physical assis- tance and/or prompting and supervising the performance of direct personal care tasks as determined by the resident's needs and does not include assistance with tasks performed by a licensed health professional.
Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.
Medical leave means leave from work taken by a covered individual that is made neces-
Annual Leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.
Personal Services means “the performance of any work or labor and shall also include acting as an independent contractor or providing any consulting advice or assistance, or otherwise acting as an agent pursuant to a contractual relationship.”
Personal Grievance means a claim that an employee:
(a) Has been unjustifiably dismissed; or
(b) has had his/her employment, or his/her conditions of employment, affected to
(c) his/her disadvantage by some unjustifiable action by the employer; or
(d) has been discriminated against in his/her employment; or
(e) has been sexually harassed in his/her employment; or
(f) has been racially harassed in his/her employment; or
(g) has been subjected to duress in relation to union membership.
maternity or paternity leave of absence means, for Plan Years beginning after December 31, 1984, an absence from work for any period by reason of the Employee's pregnancy, birth of the Employee's child, placement of a child with the Employee in connection with the adoption of such child, or any absence for the purpose of caring for such child for a period immediately following such birth or placement. For this purpose, Hours of Service shall be credited for the computation period in which the absence from work begins, only if credit therefore is necessary to prevent the Employee from incurring a 1-Year Break in Service, or, in any other case, in the immediately following computation period. The Hours of Service credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall be those which would normally have been credited but for such absence, or, in any case in which the Administrator is unable to determine such hours normally credited, eight (8) Hours of Service per day. The total Hours of Service required to be credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall not exceed 501.
Family and Medical Leave means a leave of absence for the birth, adoption or foster care of a child, or for the care of your child, spouse or parent or for your own serious health condition as those terms are defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments, or by applicable state law.
Family leave means a leave of absence from employment for one (1) of the following reasons:
(1) The serious illness of an eligible employee; or
(2) the serious illness of a member of an eligible employee’s immediate family. Family Leave, by itself or in combination with statutory Parental Leave (as opposed to contractual parental leave), may not exceed twelve (12) weeks in a twelve (12) month period beginning with the first day either type of leave is used. Leave taken under this Agreement will be credited against any such statutory entitlement to the full extent permitted by law.
Casual Worker means a worker engaged by the hour and who may be dismissed or leave the employer's service at any moment without notice and except as hereinafter provided shall not be engaged for more than 30 hours per week in ordinary hours.
Farmworker Household means a household of one or more persons wherein at least one member of the household is a Farmworker at the time of initial occupancy.
Leave means authorized absence from duty by an employee during his or her regular or normal hours of work;
Civil Service Commission means the commission required under Section 5 of Article XI of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.
Personal harassment means any improper behaviour by a person employed by the Employer that is directed at and offensive to another person employed by the Employer which the first person knew or ought reasonably to have known would be unwelcome. Personal harassment comprises objectionable conduct, comment, act or display that demeans, belittles or causes personal humiliation or embarrassment to the recipient.
civil servant means a person who is a member of a civil service of the Province, or who holds a civil post in connection with the affairs of the Province, but does not include-
Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act means the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 (Act 16 of 2013);
