Availability of Patients for Teaching. The Hospital will allow Students, for teaching purposes, access to such of its patients and their personal health information, both in-patients and ambulatory patients, as are necessary to meet its teaching commitments set out in the clinical Student teaching placements (attached as Schedule 1, as amended from time to time by agreement), subject to such restrictions as are imposed by the Hospital staff for clinical reasons and by Hospital patients, including any exercise of their right to refuse Student access. The Hospital will use its best efforts to provide the necessary mix of patients to meet the educational needs of Students placed in the Hospital. In exceptional circumstances if the Hospital ascertains that it will not be able to meet Students’ needs in any program or area as previously agreed upon, it will promptly advise the appropriate Department Chair or Xxxx and assist in finding alternate arrangements for the Students. The University will comply with all applicable privacy laws, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004, and agrees that it will advise all Students that they are required to comply with all applicable privacy laws and Hospital policies and procedures.

  • Billing and Payment Procedure for Forest Products Delivered The State will compute and forward to Purchaser a billing statement of charges for forest products delivered during the billing period at the delivered rate shown in P- 028.2 clause. After receipt of the billing statement, Purchaser’s payment must be received by the Department of Natural Resources on or before the due date shown on the billing statement. Purchaser agrees to make payment, payable to the Department of Natural Resources. Failure to pay on time for forest products delivered is considered a breach of contract. Included with the billing statement will be a summary report for the billing period compiled by the State or their log and load reporting service. The State will adjust final xxxxxxxx to account for any State approved payment reductions. P-080 Payment Account Refund Advance payments made under P-045 or P-045.2 remaining on account above the value for the charges shall be returned to Purchaser within 30 days following the final report of charges. Refunds not made within the 30 day period will accrue interest at the interest rate, as established by WAC 000-000-000, computed on a daily basis until paid.

  • Certification for Federal-Aid Contracts Lobbying Activities A. The CONSULTANT certifies, by signing and submitting this Contract, to the best of its knowledge and belief after diligent inquiry, and other than as disclosed in writing to the LPA prior to or contemporaneously with the execution and delivery of this Contract by the CONSULTANT, the CONSULTANT has complied with Section 1352, Title 31, U.S. Code, and specifically, that:

  • Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. The contractor shall take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure nondiscrimination in the administration of this contract.

  • Substitute Teaching An adjunct faculty member who is interested in a substitute teaching assignment may be assigned to teach as a substitute in a course section for which the adjunct faculty member is qualified to teach. Each semester an adjunct faculty member may submit to the appropriate Xxxx a written request, on a form provided by the College, which shall indicate his/her willingness and availability to act as a substitute teacher and a reliable means by which to contact the adjunct faculty member on short notice. An adjunct faculty member who is selected to substitute teach shall be paid in accordance with Article 8.4.

Often titled "Freshman Composition," "College Composition," or "Reading and Composition." Must include basic research skills and a research paper. Cannot be taken as a hybrid course. Personal Wellness Any physical activity course with a cardio component and instruction in fitness principles. This includes individual activities, team sports, dance, yoga/mat exercise courses, and intercollegiate sports. Activities with limited physical activity such as badminton, golf, bowling, etc. will not fulfill the requirement. Quantitative Literacy Any course from the Math department of the transferring school that has a prerequisite of Intermediate Algebra. However, certain majors require College Algebra. Please refer to the APU catalog to determine whether or not your major requires College Algebra. Biblical, Theological, & Philosophical Formation- Philosophy Requirement Must be a broad philosophy course such as Intro to Philosophy, History of Philosophy, philosophy-based Logic, Critical Thinking, and Ethics. All other courses must be evaluated by the Department of Theology & Philosophy for transfer. Humanities- History, Literature, & Fine Arts Requirement Must choose one course from each discipline (3 courses total): History, Literature, and Fine Arts. History courses must be survey courses in world, western, or U.S. history (typically split into two time periods). Literature courses must be broad, surveys of literature that explore the literary genres of fiction, drama, and poetry. Fine Arts courses must be broad, survey courses in Art, Music, Drama, or Theater (sometimes History of Cinema, Drama, or Theater courses) covering approximately 100 years. Any basic course in the life or physical sciences. Examples of courses include Fundamentals of Biology, General Biology, Fundamentals of Chemistry, General Chemistry, Introduction to Astronomy, Physical Geology/Geography, Fundamentals of Physics, General Physics, Oceanography, Zoology, Marine Biology. Biology and Chemistry labs cannot be taken online. However, certain majors require specific science courses. Please refer to the APU catalog to determine whether or not your major requires specific science courses.
