Common use of Baby Bonding Leave Clause in Contracts

Baby Bonding Leave. Qualified unit members may choose to take up to twelve (12) workweeks of baby-bonding leave under the California Family Rights Act (“CFRA”). Sick leave will be applied towards these twelve (12) workweeks of baby-bonding leave until all sick leave is exhausted. Thereafter, the unit member may use differential leave for the balance of the bonding period up to twelve (12) workweeks. Unit members shall not be permitted to use Extended Illness Leave towards their twelve (12) workweeks of baby-bonding leave until all sick leave is exhausted.
