Employee Representative The employee may choose someone to represent him or her at any step in the procedure. No person hearing a grievance need recognize more than one representative for any employee at any one time, unless he or she so desires.
Bargaining Agent The Employer recognizes the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1978, as the exclusive bargaining agent for those bargaining unit employees covered by this Agreement.
EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES 13.01 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Alliance to appoint or otherwise select employees as representatives.
Nurse Representatives The Employer agrees to recognize two (2) Nurse Representatives for the purpose of dealing with grievances and conducting Union interviews.
Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.
Grievance Representatives The UFF shall annually furnish to the board and University a list of all persons authorized to act as grievance representatives and shall update the list as needed. The UFF grievance representative shall have the responsibility to meet all classes, office hours, and other duties and responsibilities incidental to the assigned workload. Some of these activities are scheduled to be performed at particular times. Such representative shall have the right during times outside of those hours scheduled for these activities to investigate, consult, and prepare grievance presentations and attend grievance hearings and meetings. Should any hearings or meetings with the President, Board or their representatives necessitate rescheduling of assigned duties, the representative may with the approval of the appropriate administrator, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Using Agency’s Representative The Using Agency may designate from time to time a Using Agency’s Representative, who shall work with the Design Professional and the Owner’s Representative as a liaison with the Using Agency.
Bargaining Agent Recognition The Employer recognizes the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union as the exclusive bargaining agent for all employees covered by the certification.
