Common use of Bargaining Unit Seniority Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Unit Seniority. The total length of service in any/all classifications represented by the bargaining unit. Bargaining Unit seniority shall control for promotions/transfers within the bargaining unit (along with qualifications), overtime assignments, selection (rebid) of zones, choice of vacation time, and shift changes. Management retains the right to determine the number, size and location of zones.
