Per Diem Employees Section 1. A per diem employee is one that works on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the provisions of this article. Per diem employees will not be guaranteed to work a specific number of hours or a specific number of shifts per time block.
FOREIGN EMPLOYEES H-1B VISA costs shall not be passed through to the Authorized User under this Contract. Although Authorized Users will not affirm employment for immigration purposes, an Authorized User may be asked to confirm Contractor’s statement of the individual’s employment for immigration purposes. Based on RFQ security requirements the Authorized User may require that all staff must be citizens of the United States, and if so, Authorized User will indicate in the RFQ.
Transportation Employees 20.1 Bus drivers shall be paid for actual time worked.
Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime. Student Employees A student employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work which is not ongoing. He/she is normally in the process of completing his/her post-graduate studies and is expected to return to his/her studies after an agreed employment period. The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).
Fixed Term Employees 31. The only terms of this Agreement that apply to employees who are not regular employees are those that are set out in Articles 31A, 32, 33 and 34. ARTICLE 31A – FIXED-TERM EMPLOYEES OTHER THAN SEASONAL, STUDENT AND GO TEMP EMPLOYEES (FXT) 31A.1 Articles 31A.2 to 31A.16 apply only to fixed-term employees other than seasonal, student and GO Temp employees.
Promoted Employees 1. An employee who has served one-half (1/2) or more of the time required to be considered for their next step increase, shall upon promotion to a position in a higher wage range in the Bargaining Unit, be placed at Step A of the higher range or such other step as will provide an increase of two
Term Employees (a) On termination, a term employee, with or without dependants, who leases unfurnished accommodations, or who leases furnished accommodations or owns his/her own home, will be provided financial assistance on a percentage basis for years of completed service, as defined in Table A-6.
Contractor Employees 10.1 Details of any individuals employed by contractors working in the school.
