Basis of Promotions. Promotions will be based on experience, job knowledge, past performance and seniority. District management shall determine which employee shall be promoted. District management shall take into consideration experience, job knowledge, past performance and seniority; however, when experience, job knowledge, and past performance are relatively equal as determined by District management, then seniority will apply.

Basis of Promotions. The University and the Union agree that promotional opportunities for current employees should be encouraged throughout the University. The University commits to encouraging and considering qualified employees for openings University-wide. Promotions and transfers shall be made on the basis of requisite qualifications and seniority. If two (2) or more bargaining unit employees who possess the requisite qualifications bid for a position, the employee with the most bargaining unit seniority will be offered the position. Applications from outside the bargaining unit will not be reviewed until it is determined that there are no qualified internal applicants.
Basis of Promotions. A. Promotions within the bargaining unit shall be governed by seniority provided that the employee meets the minimum qualifications of the current job description. A promotion is defined as a position involving a higher rate of pay or an upgrading of a position which materially increases the responsibilities of a position.
Basis of Promotions. The promotion of employees within the jurisdiction of the Bargaining Unit shall be based on this Agreement and shall have no effect upon promotions or hiring for positions outside the Bargaining Unit. All promotions for positions within the bargaining unit shall be made based on merit, efficiency, and fitness as ascertained by competitive examination among bargaining unit personnel. Examinations shall be conducted fairly and final scores shall be the sole determination for promotion.
