Common use of Benefits During Strike or Lock-Out Clause in Contracts

Benefits During Strike or Lock-Out. The Employer agrees that in the event of any legal strike by the Union or legal Lock Out by the Employer, the Employer shall continue to provide existing benefit plan coverage, excluding Pension Plan, for those employees affected, provided the Union pays the total costs of benefit plan coverage to the Employer on or before the regular due date. By mutual agreement between the Parties, the Employer may pay the total cost of the benefit plan coverage and recover these costs from those employees affected on their return to work.
