Benefits While on Layoff. (a) An Employee on layoff for a period of 13 weeks or less may continue to participate in the Extended Health Care, Dental and Group Life Insurance Plans, provided the Employee has been participating in such benefits plans on the date of layoff. Normal premium contributions will continue to be made by the Employer and the Employee where appropriate.

Normal premium contributions will continue to be made by the Employer and the Employee where appropriate. Once elected by the Employee, the continued benefits, or non-participation thereof, will begin on the first day of the next pay period following the date of layoff.
