Bereavement Leave with the District’s Authorization. Up to three (3) days of leave may be granted each year for absence due to a death, serious illness, or serious injury in the immediate family. Immediate family is defined as including mother, father, son, daughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, spouse, brother, sister, child, grandparents, and individuals who are permanent members of the household. Requests for such leave shall be made at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to taking such leave and such requests shall be subject to the approval of the superintendent. Such leave shall not be accumulative. , nor shall it be reduced from the employee's total accumulated sick leave.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave.   • ARTICLE BEREAVEMENT LEAVE An Employee who would otherwise have been at work shall be allowed up to three (3) days’ leave with pay in the event of the death of a member of immediate family and such leave will not be charged against the Employee’s attendance credits.   • Joint Funded Project with the Ohio Department of Transportation In the event that the Recipient does not have contracting authority over project engineering, construction, or right-of- way, the Recipient and the OPWC hereby assign certain responsibilities to the Ohio Department of Transportation, an authorized representative of the State of Ohio. Notwithstanding Sections IV, VI.A., VI.B., VI.C., and VII of the Project Agreement, Recipient hereby acknowledges that upon notification by the Ohio Department of Transportation, all payments for eligible project costs will be disbursed by the Grantor directly to the Ohio Department of Transportation. A Memorandum of Funds issued by the Ohio Department of Transportation shall be used to certify the estimated project costs. Upon receipt of a Memorandum of Funds from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the OPWC shall transfer funds directly to the Ohio Department of Transportation via an Intra-State Transfer Voucher. The amount or amounts transferred shall be determined by applying the Participation Percentages defined in Appendix D to those eligible project costs within the Memorandum of Funds. In the event that the Project Scope is for right-of-way only, notwithstanding Appendix D, the OPWC shall pay for 100% of the right-of-way costs not to exceed the total financial assistance provided in Appendix C. APPENDIX D LOCAL SUBDIVISION CONTRIBUTION, PROJECT FINANCING AND EXPENSES SCHEME AND DISBURSEMENT RATIO

  • Bereavement Leave (a) Upon the death of an employee's spouse, spouse to include same sex partner, child or stepchild, an employee shall be granted leave up to a maximum of five (5) continuous calendar days without loss of pay. One of the days of leave shall include the day of the funeral or equivalent service. Additional days off with or without pay may be granted by the Employer. Part-time employees will be credited with seniority and service for all such leave. In the event of a delayed interment or ceremony for reason of religion or other protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code, an Employee may save one of the days identified above without loss of pay to attend the interment or ceremony.

  • Investigatory Leave The Appointing Authority/designee may place an employee who is the subject of a disciplinary investigation on an investigatory leave with pay provided a reasonable basis exists to warrant such leave.

  • Other Leave with Pay The Employer may grant leave with pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including military or civil defence training, and emergencies affecting the community or place of work.

  • Bereavement/Compassionate Leave 21.1 Employees (excluding casual employees) shall be entitled to a maximum of two days without loss of pay on each occasion and on production of satisfactory evidence of the death or near death in Australia of the employee’s partner, father, mother, brother, sister, child, stepchild or parents-in-law.
