Between Shifts i. If an employee is recalled within 1 hour after having been placed off duty, such recall shall be considered as an extension of the regular shift and shall be paid at the regular shift overtime rate of time and one-half. ii. The provisions of Section (1)(A) of this Article shall also apply to employees recalled to duty after release when working a 2020 - 0700 shift if said employee is recalled between the last on-duty hour and prior to the second hour before the next shift. iii. If recall is after the first off-duty hour and prior to the second hour before the next normal scheduled duty hour, such recall shall be paid for at time and one-half for hours on duty, with a minimum guarantee equivalent to 4 hours at the regular rate of pay.
Between Shifts. When an employee is required to change shifts, sixteen (16) hours shall be between shifts. however, an employee is required to report on the second shift in any less time than sixteen (16) hours after finishing the first shift, the employee shall be paid at overtime rates for the period worked before the sixteen (16) hours time allowed for shift change has expired except when requested by the and approved by the Hospital.

  • Minimum Break between Shifts (a) Where it is necessary to work extended overtime, it is agreed that no Employee shall resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty between the termination of the overtime and the commencement of the Employee’s ordinary work on the next day or shift. (b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.

  • Broken Shifts (a) An employee may agree to work broken shifts at any time; however an employee may be required to work broken shifts in the following circumstances: (i) in homecare; or (ii) in an emergency – including staff absence; or (iii) up to and including a 4 week continuous period for circumstances other than those covered by subclauses 14.4(a)(i) and (ii). (A) Where an employee has served a period of broken shifts in accordance with subclause (iii) the employee shall not be required to serve a further period on broken shifts until he or she has been off broken shifts for a period equivalent to the previous period on broken shifts. (b) A “broken shift” for the purposes of this sub-clause means a single shift worked by an employee that includes one or more breaks in excess of that provided for meal breaks, where the time between the commencement and termination of the broken shift shall not exceed 12 hours. (c) An employee must receive a minimum break of 10 hours between broken shifts rostered on successive days. (d) Where broken shifts are worked, employees shall receive the per shift allowance set out in Item 1 of Table 2 of Schedule B to this Agreement. (e) Payment for a broken shift shall be at ordinary pay with penalty rates and shift allowances in accordance with Clause 18 - Shift and Weekend Work, with shift allowances being determined by the commencing time of the broken shift. (f) All work performed beyond the maximum span of 12 hours for a broken shift will be paid at double ordinary pay.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Disputes between a Contracting Party and an Investor (1) Any dispute which may arise between an investor of one Contracting Party and the other Contracting Party in connection with an investment on the territory of that other Contracting Party shall be subject to negotiations between the parties in dispute.   • Shift Rotation Routine shift rotation is not an approach to staffing endorsed by the Employer. Except for emergency situations where it may be necessary to provide safe patient care, shift rotation will not be utilized without mutual consent. If such an occasion should ever occur, volunteers will be sought first. If no one volunteers, the Employer will rotate shifts on an inverse seniority basis until the staff vacancies are filled.

  • Weekdays All work performed outside of the designated shift Monday through Friday shall be paid at time and one-half (1-1/2) the straight-time hourly wage rate.
