Bilingual Proficiency. The City shall pay $1,250 annually, the first pay period in January, for those peace officers conversant in Spanish in order to fulfill their job duty as a peace officer. The following criteria must be met to qualify for the annual incentive pay: Peace officers must initially pass a proficiency examination prepared by the City. Once certified, an officer does not need to re-certify on a yearly basis; however, management has the right to require re-certification at any time based upon cause. The number of certified participants shall be determined by the fiscal constraints of the Police Department.

  • Protocols Each party hereby agrees that the inclusion of additional protocols may be required to make this Agreement specific. All such protocols shall be negotiated, determined and agreed upon by both parties hereto.
