Common use of Board of Education Review Clause in Contracts

Board of Education Review. At the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education (herein "Board") which is at least ten (10) days after the Board’s receipt of the Superintendent’s Submission, the Board shall meet with the Superintendent and the District’s attorney in executive session for the purpose of discussing the Superintendent’s decision. The Board shall then issue a written decision as a result of such meeting, which shall be set forth in the Consent Agenda of the Board at the Board’s next regularly schedule meeting and upon approval, a copy of the Board’s written decision shall be delivered to the Grievant and the Grievant’s representative, if any. (a) PROVIDED HOWEVER, If after the meeting with the Superintendent there is a consensus that the Board would like to meet with the Grievant, the Superintendent shall deliver to the Grievant and the Grievant’s personal representative, if any, written notice of a meeting with the Board, which meeting shall take place at least two (2) weeks thereafter at a regular meeting date of the Board of Education. On the date of the meeting before the Board, the Board shall recess into executive session for the purpose of hearing from the Grievant and the Grievant’s representative, if any. Also attending the meeting will be the Superintendent, the District’s attorney, the Grievant’s supervisor or principal and such other persons as the Board deems necessary or appropriate.
