BONUS SICK LEAVE ENTITLEMENT FOR LONG SERVICE EMPLOYEES. Effective April 1, 2006, the eEmployer agrees to establish a bonus bank of thirty-five (35) hours annually. This bank will be available to regular employees who have reached twenty (20) years of continuous service or more and have eight hundred and forty (840) hours entitlement under Article 19.02. Once an employee becomes entitled to this bank their entitlement will continue for the duration of their continuous service. Hours in this bank are not eligible for the payout under Article 19.0719.06. Each January the bank will be replenished to thirty-five (35) hours (prorated for part-time regular employees). Any balance remaining at December 31 will not carry forward. In cases, where an employee retires or terminates before December 31 the thirty-five (35) hours will be prorated and if the amount used that year exceeds this entitlement the arrears will be deducted from the final pay. An employee may not borrow against this bonus bank.

  • Sick Leave Entitlement A full-time employee shall earn sick leave credits at the rate of one and one-quarter (1¼) days for each month of service in which pay was received for at least ten (10) days. Sick leave shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred and fifty (250) days. A part-time employee shall be entitled to sick leave credits on a pro rata basis. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or injury the employee shall be entitled to claim sick leave at her regular rate of pay for a maximum period equivalent to her accumulated sick leave credit.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave Administration (a) for the purposes of administration of clauses 34.11 and 34.12, where an employee does not work the same number of hours each week, the normal workweek shall be the weekly average calculated on a monthly basis.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Period of Services Unless otherwise stated herein, the Consultant will begin work after receipt of a properly executed copy of this Agreement. This Agreement assumes conditions permitting continuous and orderly progress through completion of the services. Times for performance shall be extended as necessary for delays or suspensions due to circumstances that the Consultant does not control. If such delay or suspension extends for more than six months, Consultant’s compensation shall be renegotiated.

  • SICK LEAVE AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY (Articles 12.01 to 12.11 apply to full-time nurses only)

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave Incentive Effective September 1, 1986, employees covered by this Agreement, hired on or after October 1, 1977, who are not entitled to disability leave under State Statute R.C.W. 41.26, shall be eligible for the following sick leave incentive program:

  • Sick Leave Abuse ‌ When the Employer suspects sick leave abuse, the employee will be provided the opportunity to explain the circumstances surrounding their sick leave use prior to disciplining the employee, or making reference to sick leave use in the employee’s performance evaluation. The Employer may not adopt or enforce any policy that counts the use of paid sick leave time as an absence that may lead to or result in disciplinary action for an authorized purpose. The Employer may not discriminate or retaliate against an employee for the use of paid sick leave for an authorized purpose.

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave with Pay Employees shall be eligible for sick leave with pay immediately upon accrual.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.
