Overtime for Part. Time Employees
Overtime for Part. Time Employees Part-time employees working less than seven hours per day, and who are required to work in excess of their regularly scheduled hours, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked up to and including seven hours in the working day. Regular overtime rates shall apply after seven hours in the day and for all work performed on Statutory holidays and days off designated by the College. Any employee working more than 35 hours in a week shall receive overtime after the 35 hours.
Overtime for Part. TIME EMPLOYEES Part time employees are eligible for overtime compensation when they are required to work more than seven (7) hours in a day. Except for employees on a rotating shift, which requires more than five (5) consecutive days of work, part time employees required to work in excess of five (5) days in a week, are eligible for overtime compensation for all work performed in the sixth (6th) and seventh (7th) days. Overtime rates as defined in 16.05 (b)17.01 (d) shall apply for all work performed on general holidays.
Overtime for Part. Time Employees (Also refer to XXX #6)
(a) Overtime will be paid to part-time employees working their regular part-time schedule when:
(i) the number of hours worked on a daily basis exceeds eight (8) hours in those departments which work eight (8) hours shifts;
(ii) the number of hours worked on a daily basis exceeds ten (10) hours in those departments which work ten (10) hour shifts;
(iii) the number of hours worked in a pay period exceeds sixty (60) hours;
(iv) they are required to work more than five (5) days in any work week subject to (iii) above.
(b) When a part-time employee is relieving a full-time employee they will assume the full-time employee's schedule and be governed by the terms of Article
(c) When a part-time employee relieves a full-time employee as per Article 1.13
Overtime for Part. Time Employees Part-time employees can be called in and do not qualify for overtime until they have exceeded the daily hours of work of a regular full-time employee or the weekly hours of the recognized averaging period for the crew they are assigned to.
Overtime for Part time Employees
(a) For part-time employees, the first two (2) hours of work over their scheduled shift will be paid on a straight time basis but where the employee works in excess of two (2) hours over the scheduled shift, employees will be paid at a rate of one and one-half of their regular rate of pay for each hour worked.
(b) Overtime rates shall not be paid for employee training, cross-training, or travel.
(c) Where positions allow an employee some flexibility in determining their own schedule, it is the employee’s responsibility, except in an emergency, to schedule their hours such that overtime is not accrued over the two-week pay period.
Overtime for Part. Time Workers Once hours exceed the workday of a full-time employee (seven hours for Inside Classifications, eight hours for Outside Classifications) overtime will be payable. Once hours exceed weekly hours of a full-time employee (35 hours for Inside Classification, 40 hours for Outside Classification) overtime will be payable. This article provides for two consecutive days off with no more than five consecutive days of work.
Overtime for Part. Time and Casual Employees Subject to Clause 15.4 - Flextime:
Overtime for Part time Employees Part-time employees shall not be paid overtime rates unless they have worked more than seven (7) hours (Schedule “B” employees) or eight (8) hours (Schedule “A” employees) in any one (1) day.
Overtime for Part time Employees shall be defined as work performed in excess of 40 hours within the designated workweek.
