Breaks and Summer Closures. 1. UH residential communities close when the University is officially closed and Residents must vacate their assigned room. Residents needing break housing should choose to reside in University Village (UV) or Konkow. Students assigned to UV and Xxxxxx who opt to stay on campus over break must register with UH. All policies will be in effect. Additionally, without the prior approval of appropriate UH staff, guests will not be permitted during a break.

Breaks and Summer Closures. University Housing residential communities close when the University is officially closed, and Licensees must vacate their assigned room. Licensees needing break housing should choose to reside in University Village (UV) or Konkow. Students assigned to UV and Konkow who opt to stay in their bed space over break may do so at no additional cost provided you register with University Housing. During such time, all policies will remain in effect. Additionally, without the prior approval of appropriate University Housing staff, guests will not be permitted during a break. Unless Licensee resides in and is approved to stay at University Village or Konkow during break closures, no access will be allowed to their assigned bed space during any of the break closures. University Housing break closures: o Fall Break: 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 through 9:00 AM Sunday, December 1, 2019. o Winter Break: 6:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2019 through 9:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2020. NOTE: Licensees in all communities except Konkow and University Village, must vacate the residential community 24 hours after their last final exam or when the residence halls officially close, whichever comes first. o Spring Break: 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 through 9:00 AM Sunday, March 22, 2020. o Summer Closure: 6:00 PM. on Friday, May 15, 2020. NOTE: Licensees must vacate the residential community 24 hours after their last final exam or when the residence halls officially close, whichever comes first. No Licensees may remain in University Housing during the Summer Closure. No meals are available through Dining Services during break closures. Although Licensee may leave personal belongings in their assigned room during this closure period, University Housing advises that Licensee remove valuable items from their room and secure such items elsewhere during breaks.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.

  • School Closures If school must be canceled, the school year shall be extended and vacations and in-service days and holidays not required by Statute may be utilized to meet State and District curriculum requirements. The district will consult with the President of the Association (s) before revising the calendar as required. Such time will be made up without additional pay. Any student school days waived by OSPI due to emergency school closure shall also be work days waived for certificated staff. There shall be no loss of pay in such an instance.

  • Emergency Closures A. The University’s inability to make a Room available to me for any reason beyond the University’s control including, but not limited to, natural disaster, fire, flood, earthquake, condemnation, pandemic, quarantine, utility malfunction, infestation, or other emergency or force majeure event shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement by the University. In such circumstances, the University shall have no liability to me in any way for injuries, reimbursement, damages, inconvenience, annoyance or compensation of any kind. The University may attempt to find, but cannot guarantee, an alternative space for me. If the unavailability of my Room or an alternative space persists for more than 72 hours, I may terminate this Agreement and Check out during said unavailability without penalty provided that I shall be responsible for all financial obligations incurred up to the date of such termination. The University agrees to provide me with a pro rata refund, calculated from the date of such termination to the end of the Agreement Period, of any prepaid housing and dining payment made to the University, and to return my Deposit pursuant to this Agreement. Upon resumption of standard operations, Agreement Termination requirements and charges will apply as described in Section XIV.

  • Time Clocks The Employer shall not add time clocks, unless the Union has been served notice and the Agency has engaged in discussions with the Union. During the term of this Agreement, upon request of either party, the parties agree to establish a joint Labor/Management Committee for the purpose of examining the impact of an automated State payroll system upon this Agreement and developing recommendations for the implementation of such a system.
