BUILDING ASSESSMENT Clause Samples
BUILDING ASSESSMENT. This phase outlines the framework for conducting an existing building assessment. This assessment aims to evaluate the physical condition, functionality, and compliance of existing structures, providing an understanding of the buildings’ performance and informing future renovation or maintenance decisions. • Assess the current condition of the building, including structural integrity, systems performance, and architectural features. • Identify deficiencies, safety hazards, and areas requiring maintenance or upgrade. • Evaluate compliance with applicable building codes and regulations. • Provide recommendations for improvements or modifications based on the assessment results. • Conduct a visual onsite inspection of the building’s exterior and interior, including structural elements, finishes, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, data/cabling infrastructure, and safety features. • Gather and review all available relevant documentation including original architectural plans, maintenance records, and compliance documentation. • Assess the current condition of various building components, categorizing findings based on severity and urgency of repairs needed. • Compile a detailed report summarizing assessment findings, including photographic documentation, descriptions of issues, and recommendations. Assess the environmental characteristics of the existing facility and determine any areas for remediation. Specifically targeting the plumbing and sumps within the former lab spaces, the building air exhaust system, and the existing rooms formerly used to store hazardous materials. Design services shall be conducted in phases as outlined herein. Phases may be combined to expedite design process when defined in Exhibit C – Production Schedule. Individual phases or groups of phases shall be authorized herein or by fully executed Supplemental Agreement.
