Bypass of Arbitration to Grievance Mediation. By mutual written agreement, the parties may elect to enter into grievance mediation prior to submitting the grievance to final and binding arbitration. The parties shall mutually agree, in writing, on the procedures for mediation, including the handling of costs to implement the process.
