Common use of Calculation of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Calculation of Sick Leave. For the purposes of computing sick leave entitlement, an Employee who commences employment during the period from the first (1st) to fifteenth (15th) of the month, will receive credit for the month's service. Employees commencing employment from the sixteenth (16th) to the end of the month will be considered as commencing their service, for sick leave purposes, on the first (1st) day of the following month.
