Certifications/Qualifications Required. (1) Inspectors shall meet the qualification requirements of 1 RCNY 101-06, Appendix A under the following Special Inspection Category:
(a) “Mechanical Systems” for testing of high-pressure-gas piping; and/or
(b) “Welding” for inspection of welding and welding operations.
(2) Radiographic / Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
(a) Current American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) Level II Certified by current employer to ‘SNT-TC-1A’ or by ASNT Control Certified Program (ACCP) in the relevant NDT method, OR
(b) ASNT Level II or III certified to ACCP in the relevant NDT Method.
Certifications/Qualifications Required i) Current Certification as an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I and at least one year of batch plant inspection experience.
Certifications/Qualifications Required i) ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician, Level I or II for the tests being performed.
ii) Supervisors or Laboratory Directors shall be qualified as follows:
(1) For projects under the jurisdiction of the New York City Department of Buildings, the supervisor, or laboratory director, shall be qualified in accordance with 1RCNY 101-07, Paragraph (6)(ii).
(2) For projects performed under the Building Code of New York State, the supervisor or Laboratory Director shall be a licensed design professional and further qualified in accordance with ASTM E329.
