Common use of CERTIFIED SICK LEAVE Clause in Contracts

CERTIFIED SICK LEAVE. A. At the beginning of each school year, each certified employee shall be credited with one (1) day of sick leave per month at full pay for each full month of service or major portion thereof as projected for the employment year. Sick leave may be used for absence caused by illness, injury, surgery, maternity, paternity, adoption, quarantine, disability, or medical or diagnostic examinations or tests.
