Charity Care. LH shall maintain its tax-exempt nonprofit status and continue to maintain a policy of providing charity care to the underserved population in Lee County consistent with similarly situated tax-exempt Safety Net Providers in Florida and consistent with the Health System’s provision of such charity care over the past five (5) years as documented in the District’s annual Community Benefit Reports, absent a Significant Change. Further, the District and LH agree that LH shall maintain a charity care and indigent care policy in a substantially similar form and content to the District’s current Financial Assistance Policy & Procedures, a copy of which is attached hereto at Schedule 3.1.2;
Charity Care. The System provides care to patients who meet certain criteria under its charity care policy without charge or at amounts less than its established rates. Because the System does not pursue collection of these amounts, charity care is not reported as net patient service revenue. The level of direct charity care provided during the years ended September 30, 2023 and 2022 consisted of foregone revenues of approximately $359.3 million and $374.9 million, respectively.
Charity Care. LH shall maintain its tax-exempt nonprofit status and continue to maintain a policy of providing charity care to the underserved population in Lee County consistent with similarly situated tax-exempt Safety Net Providers in Florida;
Charity Care. The Provider shall provide, and shall cause the Recruited Physician to provide, services based on the patient’s ability to pay. The Provider and the Recruited Physician shall accept patients regardless of payment source, specifically including Medicare and Medicaid patients at levels that are similar to other providers in the practice.
Charity Care. Resident acknowledges that Employer and Health Ministry are committed to providing health care to the sick and poor. Resident may be called upon to provide charitable care to the poor at no charge consistent with Employer’s current practice, mission and philosophy. Provision of such services will fall within the scope of Resident’s employment, and Resident will provide such charitable care as requested by Employer, subject to any limitations set forth herein.
Charity Care. The Physician shall provide services free of charge or at reduced rates in accordance with the charity care policies of the Hospital. The Physician shall accept patients regardless of payment source, specifically including Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Charity Care. “Charity Care” shall mean the unreimbursed amount (based on Xxxxx’x then existing charges) which Xxxxx does not receive as a result of providing, funding or otherwise financially supporting health care services on an inpatient or outpatient basis to a person classified by Xxxxx as “financially indigent” or “medically indigent,” or providing funding or otherwise financially supporting health care services through community outreach programs and other health care related organizations, including health care services provided by Xxxxx to then current enrollees under the District’s indigent care program for which Xxxxx does not receive any reimbursement and who also qualify for Xxxxx’x then current charity guidelines.
Charity Care. All Practitioners of Group shall provide charity care to Hospital’s patients in accordance with applicable Hospital policies, as amended from time to time. Hospital has provided Charity Care Policy to Group under separate cover.
Charity Care. As provided in the Master Hospital Lease, WH shall provide indigent and charity care at the Hospital, including access to the Hospital services by indigent persons, consistent with the policies and practices generally applied from time to time across WVUHS hospitals, and in any case not less than the extent required by Legal Requirements.
Charity Care. Following the Closing, Froedtert ThedaCare Health will adopt a standardized and unified charitable assistance policy for all patients that reflects substantive concepts present in the Parties’ existing respective policies, which is designed to best meet the needs of the communities served by the combined health system, consistent with industry standards and applicable law.
