Chief Investment Officer. The Board may designate a chief investment officer. The chief investment officer shall have the responsibilities and duties as set forth by the Board or the chief executive officer.
Chief Investment Officer. The Chief Investment Officer shall serve as the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Advisor and shall be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the firm’s investment strategy, including global macro portfolio optimization, investment implementation and risk management policy. To the extent sub-advisors are used in the investment implementation, the Chief Investment Officer shall be responsible for the development and oversight of the due diligence process, including selection and ongoing monitoring. The Chief Investment Officer shall have such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Managers or the Chief Executive Officer from time to time.
Chief Investment Officer. The term “Chief Investment Officer” means an officer designated by the governing body of a Participating Political Subdivision to invest public funds on behalf of the political subdivision and to serve as the trustee of such Participating Political Subdivision with respect to the Trust Fund, but only in a political subdivision that does not have an elected treasurer empowered by law to perform those functions. The term “Chief Investment Officer” may include certain individuals holding the title of “treasurer” for the political subdivision but who are not included in the definition in Subsection F. Each Treasurer or Chief Investment Officer, as the case may be, shall be the trustee and representative of his or her Participating Political Subdivision for purposes of this Agreement and shall vote the beneficial interest of such Participating Political Subdivision in the Trust Fund, as prescribed in Part 3 of this Agreement.
Chief Investment Officer. For the benefit of clarification and the avoidance of doubt, the Chief Investment Officer of the Company shall be responsible for and provide oversight over the investment related functions of the Company and its subsidiaries. The oversight responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the staffing, processes, products and professional development within the investment management function and the investment management functions include the trading, portfolio management, risk management, and research for current and future investment strategies and products both internally managed and externally managed.
